In Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4, you got a medallion by destroying every Hive Stash at a Queen Bug location, defeating the Queen, then collecting the drop she left behind. The location determined which medallion you received. This is a historical 2025 guide: a community-maintained Fortnite reference says medallions were vaulted from standard Battle Royale and Zero Build on August 22, 2025, though they remained in Ranked at that time. Check the live playlist before trying this route.

Which location gave each medallion?

The three Queen Bug locations offered different rewards and play styles, according to Gameranx’s August 7, 2025 guide and Gamer.org’s August 11, 2025 guide:

Queen location Medallion Reported effect Best fit
The Hive Surge Increased movement speed and a burst of speed while sliding. Faster movement and sliding rotations.
Demon’s Domain Springleg Double jump and immunity to fall damage. Vertical movement and safer drops.
Ranger’s Ruin Carapace Restores 50 health on an elimination and passively regenerates 3 shield per second, up to 50 shield. Sustain during fights and eliminations.

These are effects reported for Chapter 6 Season 4; the guides do not establish that the same tuning or availability applies now.

How to defeat the Queen and get a medallion

  1. Choose a Queen Bug location. Go to The Hive for Surge, Demon’s Domain for Springleg, or Ranger’s Ruin for Carapace.
  2. Destroy all Hive Stashes. Gameranx describes them as glowing circular targets and says an on-screen progress bar showed how many remained. The Queen spawned after the final stash was destroyed.
  3. Manage the bugs and the Queen’s attacks. The guides report swarms of bugs during the stash-clearing phase and additional enemies in the fight. Gameranx recommends staying mobile and aiming at the Queen’s glowing neck weak point; Gamer.org also recommends attacking exposed weak spots while handling other enemies. These are guide recommendations, not independently verified tactics.
  4. Collect the reward. After defeating the Queen, interact with her drop to pick up the medallion associated with that location. Gameranx also reports that the drop included a Mythic weapon.

What carrying a medallion cost

Gameranx’s 2025 guide reported that a player carrying a medallion appeared on the map. That made the reward’s movement or survivability benefit a trade-off: opponents could see the holder’s position. Treat this as a reported Chapter 6 Season 4 mechanic, not a guarantee about the current game.

Are these medallions still available?

Not necessarily. The Fortnite Wiki’s community-maintained Medallions update history records that they were vaulted from standard Battle Royale and Zero Build playlists on August 22, 2025, while remaining in Ranked at that time. Because that source is community-maintained and describes a past playlist state, verify the current map and loot pool in-game before following the steps above.
