Ubisoft announced that The Division 2 crossplay is planned to launch in November 2026, so PC and Xbox players should be able to play together once it arrives. Ubisoft has not given an exact launch day.
When can PC and Xbox players play together?
Ubisoft’s August 26, 2026 announcement says, “Crossplay launches this November.” Because November is still in the future as of October 8, crossplay should be treated as forthcoming—not as a feature that is already live. How is crossplay expected to work?
Ubisoft says crossplay will be enabled by default. With it on, players can encounter and play with Agents on supported platforms who also have the feature enabled. The announcement refers to “all supported platforms” but does not spell out every platform-specific matchmaking rule, so it does not establish a detailed exception-free list.
Players who prefer not to use crossplay can disable it from the Character Selection screen. Ubisoft says that with crossplay disabled, they will encounter players only on their own platform.

Does crossplay transfer an Xbox character to PC?
No such transfer is confirmed. Crossplay lets players on different platforms play together; cross-progression is the separate feature that carries progress or content between platform versions.
Ubisoft’s current cross-platform content-sharing support page lists Epic, Luna, Ubisoft Connect PC, and Steam as a cross-progression group, and says cross-progression is not supported between other consoles. That guidance does not establish that an Xbox character or inventory can be transferred to PC.

Do I need a particular edition?
Ubisoft lists The Division 2 editions for both PC and Xbox. Having the game on either platform does not make crossplay available before its planned November 2026 launch. Ubisoft’s store listing confirms the editions, but does not change the announced timing.
