Use Plant Growth Regulator (PGR) to increase the harvest reported for an individual seed. In a Schedule 1 Wiki grow-tent example, output rises from 8 buds to 12; a separate Steam guide reports a pot harvest rising from 12g to 16g. Those are different setups and units, not a universal yield guarantee. PGR also lowers quality by one level, so the extra product comes with a trade-off.
Use PGR when harvest quantity per seed is the priority
The Schedule 1 Wiki’s April 12, 2025, grow-tent example reports 8 buds without PGR and 12 buds with it. Lyksian’s Steam Community guide, updated August 11 (the year is not shown in the retrieved page), gives a separate pot example: 12g without PGR and 16g with it. These are community-guide figures, not official developer data or independently verified results. Choose a container with its baseline harvest in mind
Lyksian’s Steam guide reports 12g from a pot and 8g from a grow tent, and says all three pot types have identical yield. That guide also notes that other setup choices may affect growth speed. These values belong to its described setup and should not be treated as guaranteed yields across versions.

Balance extra product against quality and customer access
Both guides say PGR reduces quality by one level. The Schedule 1 Wiki warns that lower-quality product may not meet higher-tier customer standards, making the larger harvest less useful if it narrows the customers you can serve.

Lyksian’s guide describes fertilizer as a way to raise quality by one level, rather than increase weight. It also reports that drying raises quality by one star per cycle, with each cycle taking 12 hours. Treat that as added production time: the relevant comparison is not just growth time, but how long it takes to produce sale-ready product.
Pick the additive that addresses your bottleneck
- PGR: increases reported harvest quantity per seed, while lowering quality by one level.
- Speed Grow: the Schedule 1 Wiki’s example says it halves grow time and lowers quality; it is a cycle-time option, not a per-plant yield additive in that example.
- Fertilizer: raises quality by one level in the Steam guide; the guide does not present it as a weight increase.
- Drying: adds quality over time. The Steam guide reports one star per 12-hour cycle.
Use PGR if the limiting factor is product per seed. Favor faster growth if cycle time is the constraint, and account for the quality effects and drying time before deciding which setup gets product to customers sooner.

How to interpret the figures
The cited numbers come from community guides, not official patch notes or a named developer statement. The Steam guide says its figures are current as of the latest patch, but the update year is not visible in the retrieved text. Since patches can change yields, timing, costs, and unlocks, treat exact figures as guide-specific and check them against the build you play.
