You can play ring maps in Rocket League on Epic Games with a community Workshop map loader. Install a map through the loader, then launch Rocket League with Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) off. This works for supported offline activities—not online matchmaking—and is not an officially supported Rocket League feature.
What you need to know first
Epic Games’ Workshop Map Loader & Downloader page says the plugin supports Epic users and documents searching for maps with the term “Rings.” Its setup requires Rocket League to launch without Anti-Cheat. Epic confirms that community mods do not run while EAC is enabled; with EAC off, mods can be used in training, offline matches, LAN matches, and replay viewing. Epic’s April 28, 2026 announcement also says EAC is required for online play on PC.
Because this is a third-party mod workflow, use it only in the contexts Epic identifies. Epic does not officially support third-party mods and warns that they can cause crashes. The loader’s instructions may also stop working after a game update until its creator updates the plugin.
Get ring maps with Workshop Map Loader & Downloader
The following steps follow the plugin’s documented setup. The page lists version 1.16.1 and a last update of July 30, 2026; compatibility can change with Rocket League updates.

- Install the Workshop Map Loader & Downloader. Start with the plugin page on BakkesPlugins, which identifies Epic Games users as supported.
- Create a dedicated folder for your maps. Choose a location on your computer and keep the downloaded map files there.
- Set the folder path in the loader. Open the plugin’s Map Loader tab and enter the path to the folder you created.
- Find a ring map. Open the Workshop tab and search for
Rings. The plugin also gives “Dribbling Challenge” as an example search. - Download and install the map. Use the map’s download option. The plugin page also describes getting a map from a BakkesPlugins map URL or manually extracting its files into a new folder inside your maps folder.
- Refresh and load the map. Refresh the map list, select the ring map you installed, and load it.
- Launch Rocket League without Anti-Cheat. The plugin’s setup calls for launching without Anti-Cheat. With EAC enabled, community mods will not run.
Where ring maps work—and where they do not
With EAC off, Epic’s guidance allows mods in training, offline matches, LAN matches, and replay viewing. EAC is required for online play on PC, so this method is not a way to use ring maps in online matchmaking. Turn EAC back on when you want to play online.

Another community map option
The Custom Maps Plugin page on BakkesPlugins describes browsing and installing more than 300 custom maps through BakkesMod and also instructs users to launch without Anti-Cheat. Its page lists version 1.1.2 and a last update of June 5, 2026. Unlike Workshop Map Loader & Downloader, the page does not document an Epic-specific ring-search instruction. These are plugin-page claims, not independent confirmation that every listed map works with Epic or the current Rocket League version.

If a map does not load
- Check the folder path: confirm that the Map Loader tab points to the folder containing your map files.
- Refresh the list: after installing or extracting a map, refresh the loader’s map list before selecting it.
- Check EAC: the plugin will not work with EAC enabled. Do not disable it for online play; Epic requires EAC for PC online matches.
- Consider a game update: if Rocket League recently updated, the plugin or map may need an update. Epic recommends disabling mods after a game update until the mod creator updates them.
- Stop if the game becomes unstable: Epic warns that third-party mods may cause Rocket League to crash.
