If you mean the 2024 Poisonous Potato April Fools content, look for its Bedrock add-on in the in-game Marketplace. Community posts reported it there, but its current listing status is unverified. The Java April Fools snapshot is a separate PC Launcher feature; it is not a Bedrock update toggle.
Find the Poisonous Potato add-on in Bedrock
- Launch Minecraft: Bedrock Edition and select Marketplace.
- Open My Library from the left-side menu.
- Look in Owned or Marketplace Pass for the content. If you do not already have it, search the Marketplace for Poisonous Potato.
- If it is listed, choose Download or Create this World, depending on the option shown.
Minecraft Help’s general instructions for finding Marketplace content are in its Marketplace access guide. The specific Poisonous Potato listing is not confirmed as currently downloadable, so the in-game catalog is the practical way to check.

Activate the add-on in a world
Downloading an add-on does not automatically turn it on in every world. Activate it for the world you want to play:
For a new world
- Create a world.
- In the world settings, open Resource packs or Behavior packs.
- Select the add-on and activate it, then create and play the world.
For an existing single-player world
- From the world list, select the pencil or edit control beside the world.
- Open Resource packs or Behavior packs.
- Activate the add-on, then return to the world list and play.
These are Minecraft Help’s general Bedrock add-on steps; see Activate Add-Ons in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.

Is this the same as the Java April Fools snapshot?
No. Minecraft describes Java snapshots as downloads played through the PC Launcher, while the reported Bedrock route for the 2024 Poisonous Potato event is Marketplace content. Enabling Java snapshots does not install that content in Bedrock. See Minecraft’s download page for the Launcher snapshot route.
A Minecraft Feedback community post reported a Poisonous Potato add-on for Bedrock in 2024, but that historical report is not an official current catalog record or a guarantee of availability. Minecraft’s April 2024 Marketplace article documents that month’s Marketplace Pass and Realms Plus catalog; it does not verify the add-on’s current status.
