To get the Hunter’s Focus Fire Bracer Rune in WoW Classic Season of Discovery, buy it from a Rune Broker in a major city, or complete its original discovery in Searing Gorge: loot the Stormcrow Egg at the Stormcrow Nest, defeat the Enraged Stormcrow it summons, and loot the rune.
Choose an acquisition route
| Route | What to do | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Rune Broker | Visit the broker in a major city and purchase the rune. Wowhead lists brokers in the main cities for each faction. | Getting the rune quickly without the Searing Gorge encounter. |
| Original discovery | Reach the Stormcrow Nest in Searing Gorge, loot its egg, defeat the Enraged Stormcrow, then loot the rune. | Completing the rune’s original discovery method. |
Buy Focus Fire from a Rune Broker
Wowhead’s Hunter rune guide says Class Runes and Class Skill Books can be purchased from Rune Brokers, while the original discovery routes remain available. Its listed broker cities are Darnassus, Ironforge, and Stormwind City for Alliance, and Orgrimmar, Thunder Bluff, and Undercity for Horde. Check with the broker in game for the current inventory and price.
Find the rune at Stormcrow Nest
- Travel to Searing Gorge. The nest is on a branch overhanging a cavern. Wowhead gives the branch start at approximately
/way 55 51; a guide comment gives/way 53 57. Treat these as approximate and navigate by the Stormcrow Nest landmark. - Walk carefully along the branch. The path leads over a long drop, so take your time on the narrow route.
- Loot the Stormcrow Egg. Taking the egg spawns an Enraged Stormcrow.
- Defeat the Enraged Stormcrow. Loot the Rune of Focused Fire from the encounter.
The Wowhead guide updated April 6, 2024, recommends level 45 or higher for this route. That is guide preparation advice, not an established minimum-level requirement.
Equip the right rune
Focus Fire is a Hunter rune for the Bracer slot, identified by Wowhead as a Hunter DPS option. It is not the Rogue rune Focused Attacks, which is a separate ability with a different acquisition method. Once acquired, runes can be applied or removed through Rune Engraving as you experiment with builds; Blizzard’s Season of Discovery announcement describes that system.
