Rayman Legends Retold gives PS5 players a free Astro Bot costume when they first visit Victor Velour, the game’s tailor. The outfit is described as PS5-exclusive and is not presented as paid DLC. Ubisoft plans to release Rayman Legends Retold on 3 December 2026, with versions also listed for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, GeForce Now and Blacknut.
How do I get the Astro Bot costume in Rayman Legends Retold?
Visit Victor Velour during your first trip to his tailor shop. The Astro Bot outfit unlocks there automatically as a free costume; no separate purchase or paid upgrade is stated. Because the announcement calls it PS5-exclusive, do not assume the same costume is included on the PC, Xbox, Switch 2 or cloud versions.

Is the Astro Bot outfit free or paid DLC?
It is free on a player’s first visit to Victor Velour. The available announcement does not describe a price, separate code, season pass requirement or paid-DLC listing for this costume. That makes it an in-game unlock tied to the shop visit rather than a separately sold add-on.
What does the Rayman-style Astro Bot costume look like?
The artists kept Astro Bot’s most recognizable visual cues while rebuilding them for Rayman’s handcrafted world.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Reflective metal: metallic sections preserve Astro Bot’s polished, futuristic look.
- Glowing blue details: blue lights remain visible as signature accents.
- Smooth white surfaces: the clean white shell contrasts with Rayman’s more tactile environments.
- Rayman-compatible proportions: the silhouette and materials were reshaped so the character fits Rayman rather than appearing as an unchanged model from another game.
Lead Character Artist Quentin Chaillet described the challenge as bringing Astro Bot’s sleek, futuristic aesthetic into Rayman’s more handcrafted setting. The result is a visual adaptation, not simply a character swap.
Why are Astro Bot and Rayman crossing over?
The costume is a reciprocal platforming cameo. Rayman appeared in Astro Bot (2024), and Astro Bot now appears inside Rayman Legends Retold. Ubisoft Milan, Ubisoft Montpellier and Team Asobi collaborated on the outfit.
Rayman Legends Retold Art and World Director Guillaume Arvieu said, “These are games that make you feel good.” In the surrounding developer discussion, he connected both series through colorful worlds, fluid movement, discovery, surprise and positive values. That is a developer perspective, not an independent review or a prediction about the game’s reception.
