To get the Rogue Helm Rune Honor Among Thieves in WoW Classic: Season of Discovery, complete the Ravenholdt quest chain ending with Biding Our Time. Start by completing The Manor and Ravenholdt, unlocking Ravenholdt reputation, and checking for a letter after reaching level 45 and entering a major city. The documented chain is Fool Me Twice → The Talisman of Kazdor → Best Laid Plans → One Last Drop → Biding Our Time. A Rune Broker may offer a shortcut, but its current availability and possible effect on related quests or discoveries should be checked in your client.
What Honor Among Thieves does
Honor Among Thieves grants the Rogue a combo point on their current target when any party member critically hits with a spell or ability. It has a one-second cooldown. It is a Helm Rune for Rogues in Season of Discovery. Wowhead’s ability entry lists the effect.
Prerequisites and how to start the chain
- Complete The Manor and Ravenholdt, and unlock Ravenholdt reputation. These are the prerequisites listed in Wowhead’s Rogue rune guide.
- At level 45, enter a major city and look for a letter directing you to Fahrad at Ravenholdt Manor.
- Go to Ravenholdt Manor and speak with Fahrad to begin Fool Me Twice. The quest is listed in Wowhead’s quest entry.
If the letter or quest does not appear, first check your quest journal and progress on The Manor, Ravenholdt, and earlier Rogue questlines. The guide flags Shadowstep as a possible prerequisite. Comments on the quest page also report that earlier “C” quest chains, including Deadly Brew and Shadowstep, may matter. Other player comments mention The Horn of Xelthos and The Eye of Bhossca; these are reports, not confirmed universal requirements, so treat them as troubleshooting leads rather than a guaranteed checklist.

Complete the quests in this order:
- Fool Me Twice
- The Talisman of Kazdor
- Best Laid Plans
- One Last Drop
- Biding Our Time
The Talisman of Kazdor in Zul’Farrak
This step takes place in Zul’Farrak and must be completed alone. Follow the quest’s item sequence: find the two offerings and the Hollow Emblem, combine them into an Emblem of Blood Magic, then open the Spellbound War Chest at the top of the pyramid to obtain the Talisman. The quest text says the job must be done alone, and a community report on the quest page says party status can stop the required solo instance from loading. If the instance does not behave as expected, check that you entered without a party.
Best Laid Plans and One Last Drop
These quests sit between The Talisman of Kazdor and Biding Our Time in the documented chain. Their detailed objectives are not established here, so follow the objectives shown in your current quest log rather than relying on guessed steps.

Finish with Biding Our Time
Complete Biding Our Time and return to Fahrad at Ravenholdt. The quest awards Rune of the Coterie and Filcher’s Cowl; using the rune item teaches Honor Among Thieves. The reward is listed in Wowhead’s quest entry.

The documented alternative is to obtain class runes from a Rune Broker in a major city. Wowhead’s guide describes this route, but also warns that learning a rune from a vendor can cause related discoveries or rune quests not to function properly. The guide page displays Patch 1.15.8 and was updated April 6, 2024; those details do not establish how the broker behaves for every character in the current client.

If you want the quest rewards or are pursuing Rogue discoveries, the quest chain is the more cautious route. If you choose the broker, check its current dialogue and consider the possible quest impact before learning the rune. No live-client test establishes that the shortcut is available or behaves identically for all characters.
