To get the Thunder Helm in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, complete Divine Beast Vah Naboris, finish four required Gerudo Town side quests, then return to Riju. She lends Link the helm, which grants Lightning Proof.
What you need to do first
The Thunder Helm side quest becomes available after you complete Divine Beast Vah Naboris. Once that prerequisite is met, go to the Royal Palace in Gerudo Town and examine the Thunder Helm beside Riju to begin the quest.
Complete the four required side quests
The Thunder Helm quest requires these four subquests:
- Tools of the Trade
- Medicinal Molduga
- The Mystery Polluter
- The Search for Barta
These are the required quests for the helm; other Gerudo Town side quests are not prerequisites. That includes The Secret Club’s Secret, The Eighth Heroine, The Forgotten Sword, The Perfect Drink, The Silent Swordswomen, and The Seven Heroines.

Return to Riju for the Thunder Helm
After completing all four required quests, return to Riju in the Royal Palace. She lends Link the Thunder Helm.
What the Thunder Helm does
The helm grants the Lightning Proof effect. Its in-game description reads: “A precious heirloom passed down among the Gerudo. It deflects lightning strikes and is traditionally worn only by the Gerudo chief.”
