To clear the Revelwood Hollow Halls, first unlock and craft its Bone Key, then collect the required glyphs and activate two buttons to open the route to the Hollow Cyclops. The key recipe calls for 20 Bones and 50 Ectoplasm Fragments. Bring food and campfires, use checkpoints as you reach them, and search the side chambers carefully: several contain glyphs needed to progress.

Prepare before entering

Complete the Springlands Hollow Halls and summon the Collector at your base. Progress through the Collector’s relevant conversation or quest until you can craft the Revelwood Bone Key, using 20 Bones and 50 Ectoplasm Fragments. If the recipe is not available, check that progression before setting out. The key is required at the entrance. Keen Games’ March 26, 2024 update notes say solo runs are possible but can be very challenging and recommend bringing friends. The developer also advises bringing your best food items and campfires for resting during exploration.

Find the entrance

  1. Fast-travel to the Revelwood Ancient Spire.
  2. Glide northwest toward the Shrouded area.
  3. Follow the western edge of the Shroud and look for the entrance built into the mountainside.
  4. Use the Revelwood Bone Key to enter.

Reach the first glyph barrier

In the opening chamber, check under the stairs for a journal entry, clear the enemies, and use the green portal. In the next chamber, activate the respawn checkpoint. Break the bookshelf on the right to reveal a door and hidden chest, then continue west to the first green barrier.

Two glyphs open this barrier. Both are on elevated platforms reached with the grappling hook:

  • Southern route: Find the first glyph on a platform above a small chamber filled with rubble.
  • Northern route: Return to the central room, grapple to an upper platform, and continue to the second glyph on a platform to the southwest.

Return to the barrier after collecting both glyphs; the central passage will open. This route is described in the Gamer Guides Revelwood Hollow Halls walkthrough, last updated May 22, 2024.

Activate both buttons in the large chamber

Clear the large chamber beyond the barrier and destroy its enemy-spawning totems. Check the recesses for chests, then take the south route to the first button.

South route: cross the moving fireballs

Jump over the moving fireballs, grapple to the upper ledge, and climb until you have recovered stamina. Grapple across to the next platform and follow the hallway to the button. Activate it, then return to the central chamber.

North route: defeat the glyph-marked enemies

Explore the north route’s side rooms and crevices as you look for the second button. Behind a green barrier, defeat the skeletons and wights with glyphs above their heads; their defeat removes the barrier and reveals the button. Activate it and return to the central chamber. The western door should now be open. Activate the checkpoint beyond it.

Find eight glyphs and descend the poison slope

Continue through the rubble and slime. Break pots and look for the hidden passage containing a chest. At the next large door, defeat the fire plants and collect the first glyph on the platform beyond. The barrier ahead requires eight glyphs. Search the central area and every small chamber around its edges; bats, rats, and spiders may be present. The glyphs can be collected in any order.

After the barrier opens, activate the checkpoint beyond it. The route descends a slope dotted with poison patches and holes. Keep moving through the poison and jump the gaps. An overhead grappling point leads to a safer platform, but enemies are there; the walkthrough also describes continuing down the slope while avoiding the holes. Activate the checkpoint at the bottom before approaching the final barrier.

Defeat the Hollow Cyclops and exit

The final barrier is bypassed with the grappling hook rather than another glyph puzzle. Find the grapple point around its side to enter the Hollow Cyclops room. Use food buffs before starting the fight.

  • Poison cloud: Move out of the cloud quickly.
  • Weapon attacks: Dodge or roll through attacks with its axe, sword, or dual daggers.
  • Stomp: Avoid staying directly beneath the Cyclops.
  • Reinforcements: Around half health, it summons skeletons and wights. Draw them away from the boss and defeat them quickly.

Once the Hollow Cyclops is defeated, pass through the opened barrier and take the portal beneath it to leave the dungeon.

What the run unlocks—and what it does not guarantee

Keen Games describes the Hollow Halls update as adding quests, enemies, a survivor, a crafting station and recipes, weapons, building blocks, furniture, and decorative props. Those are update-wide additions, not guaranteed rewards from this particular Revelwood run. A community route and key guide, updated August 21, 2026, identifies the Revelwood hall with dark crystal artifacts and Ectoplasm crafting progression; it also notes that Giant Bones from Cyclops encounters matter for later keys. Exact drops and progression details may vary with the game version. See the Enshrouded Companion Hollow Halls key guide.
