How to get Wicked Implement now
- Go to the Tower. Find the Monument to Lost Lights, also called the Exotic Archive.
- Open the kiosk’s Exotic weapon listings and check Wicked Implement. Bungie’s Update 8.0.0.1 is quoted as moving the rifle there. The sources available do not establish its current cost or prerequisites, so use the in-game listing to confirm both before purchasing.
- Complete the purchase if the listing is available to your account. The kiosk is the reported current route; no exact material total is established here.
The Monument listing is the practical place to verify the offer in your game. If it is absent or its requirements are unclear, check Bungie’s current notices or support information before committing materials.

Why the old Whetstone guide no longer applies
Wicked Implement originally came from the Whetstone encounter in Deep Dives. Bungie lists Deep Dives among the vaulted activities in its Destiny Content Vault information. The old activity is therefore not the current acquisition route; historical fishing or mission instructions will not replace checking the Monument.
The kiosk move is reported in a Bungie.net forum post quoting Update 8.0.0.1: Where is the Wicked Implement Catalyst?. That post supports the Tower kiosk route, but it does not establish a current price or account-specific requirements.

What Wicked Implement does
Bungie identifies Wicked Implement as a Stasis Exotic Scout Rifle. Its inventory definition lists a 260-rounds-per-minute rate of fire and a 20-round magazine. Bungie’s weapon information describes its perks: Creeping Attrition slows targets after rapid precision hits and is effective against Overload Champions. With Creeping Attrition active, Tithing Harvest creates a Stasis shard when you destroy Stasis crystals or land precision final blows; collecting shards refills the magazine.
Getting the Catalyst is separate
The Catalyst is an upgrade for the rifle, not a requirement to obtain the weapon. Bungie’s item definition shows a Catalyst socket; Bungie’s crafting guide explains that a Catalyst can turn an Exotic into a Masterwork with enhanced capabilities, such as improved stats or additional perks. The forum post above quotes the 2024 patch notes as making the Wicked Implement Catalyst a random post-match reward from ritual playlists. That is a reported drop route, not a guaranteed reward after any single match.

What to know about Destiny 2 updates
Bungie’s Monument of Triumph and Update 9.7.0 Support Guide says planned live-service content updates ended on June 9, 2026, though health and stability hotfixes may still be issued. Since vendor listings can be affected by updates, check the Monument in-game for the offer that applies to your account.
