How do I complete the dinglehopper hangout duty?
Find Ariel in your Valley and start a hangout through her conversation menu. The duty tracks elapsed time only while that hangout session remains active.
- Locate Ariel in the Valley.
- Talk to her and select Let’s hang out!.
- Leave the hangout active for 30 minutes. You can remain in place or continue other Valley activities while Ariel accompanies you.
- Check the Star Path duty after the 30-minute session has elapsed.
The duty pays 20 event tokens when it registers as complete.

Does Ariel need to be in her human form?
The Disney Dreamlight Valley Wiki lists Ariel’s Human Form as a requirement for this duty. That is a gameplay caveat reported by the wiki, not an official patch-note statement, so make sure Ariel is using that form if the duty does not recognize the hangout.
Why is the Ariel hangout timer not moving?
If the tracked progress appears frozen, close the current hangout. The duty may update when the session ends rather than while the timer is displayed.

- If it still has not updated, immediately speak to Ariel again and start another hangout, then let that session run until the duty completes.
