To hide your Nintendo Switch play activity from people viewing your profile, open your user page and go to User Settings → Play Activity Settings, then choose No One. This setting limits profile visitors, but it does not hide your activity from other people using the same console: they can still select your user and view it. Nintendo Support explains the setting and its limitation.
Hide your play activity from profile visitors
- From the HOME Menu, select the user icon for the profile whose activity you want to hide.
- Select User Settings.
- Select Play Activity Settings.
- Choose No One to prevent other users from seeing your play activity when they view your profile.
You can also reach the setting through System Settings → Users → your profile → Play Activity Settings. The setting applies to the profile you selected. Nintendo lists the audience choices as all users, friends, best friends, or no one. Nintendo’s profile-settings instructions cover Switch, Switch Lite, and Switch – OLED Model.
What “No One” does—and does not—hide
Choosing No One restricts who can see play activity when viewing your profile. It is not a way to make play history invisible to everyone who can access the console. Nintendo warns that another person using the same console can select your user and view your play activity. Nintendo’s support page distinguishes profile visibility from access on the console.
Nintendo describes this privacy control as a way to limit which friends can access your play history, including turning off that access. Nintendo’s online-safety guidance discusses managing access to play history.

Choose the right setting for your goal
| What you want to do | What to use |
|---|---|
| Limit what profile visitors can see | Set Play Activity Settings to No One, or choose a narrower audience such as friends or best friends. |
| Remove displayed play activity | Use the separate delete your play activity control in the profile settings. Nintendo does not specify that this removes every copy from every app or service. |
| Monitor or restrict use in a household | Use Nintendo Switch Parental Controls for tools such as play-time limits, gameplay-history viewing, software restrictions, and communication or social-media restrictions. |
Deleting activity and limiting its audience are separate controls. The Nintendo support instructions list the deletion option but do not describe its full effect across services, so do not assume it erases all records everywhere. See Nintendo’s profile settings information.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Play activity privacy is different from parental monitoring
Play Activity Settings controls who can see activity through your profile. Parental Controls are intended for household oversight, including viewing gameplay history and setting restrictions; many controls apply to the system rather than to just one user. Nintendo also describes recent playtime views through the console and its apps, including the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app. These are separate ways to review or manage use, not substitutes for the profile’s audience setting. Nintendo’s Parental Controls information explains those monitoring and restriction tools.
