Treat the release number, Minecraft version, and loader as a single compatibility target.
Decide how you will run the server
There are two practical deployment models. A self-hosted server runs on a computer you control and requires operating-system maintenance, a reachable network address, backups, and router or firewall work. A managed host rents the machine and normally supplies a web console, file access, networking controls, and automated infrastructure. Neither model removes the requirement for the correct Fiefdom server files.

Choose self-hosting when you already have a stable machine and understand network administration. Choose a managed service when you want the server online without exposing a home network or maintaining the host operating system. For either choice, ask one question first: can the service install or accept the exact Fiefdom 1.01 1.19.2 Forge files?
Prepare the players’ client profiles
Install the matching CurseForge profile
- Install the CurseForge app for your operating system.
- Search for the Fiefdom project and select the release for Minecraft 1.19.2 that is identified as Version 1.01 and uses Forge.
- Install that profile, or import the supplied custom profile if the author provides one.
- Launch the profile once on each player’s computer. This creates the local directories and exposes any Java or mod-loading error before anyone attempts to connect.
CurseForge’s installation guidance treats a Minecraft version and modloader as compatibility constraints. A profile built for another game version, a different loader family, or another Fiefdom release is not a harmless variation: it can fail to launch, reject the connection, or produce registry mismatches. Keep a copy of the profile’s release number and distribute that exact information to every player.
Check Java before troubleshooting mods
Java is required to launch Minecraft modpacks and the Forge server. CurseForge notes that an absent or outdated Java installation can cause launch errors and recommends installing the latest Java available for the launcher when Java is missing or stale. The Fiefdom pages indexed for this release do not state a verified Java major version. Do not insert a Java version number from a different pack; use the requirement shown by your launcher and the Forge build you actually install.
After updating Java, select that installation in the launcher’s Java settings if the launcher does not detect it automatically. Test the Fiefdom client profile again. If vanilla Minecraft launches but Fiefdom does not, record the complete error log before changing mods or deleting files.
Obtain a real Fiefdom server distribution
This is the step most likely to be misunderstood. The indexed Fiefdom release pages expose the client modpack ZIP and release metadata, but they do not expose a clearly labelled Fiefdom 1.19.2 server pack or a ready-made launch script. A client ZIP is not automatically a server distribution: it may contain client-only mods, configuration intended for a client, or no Forge server installation at all.

Open the Version 1.01 file listing and description and look specifically for a server ZIP, server files, or author instructions. If no server artifact is listed, check the author’s official community. The project description says, “Official Server play requires registration on our Discord,” so access to an official server or its files may depend on that registration. Do not download an unrelated pack, rename the client archive, or copy every client folder to a production server as a substitute.

- Minecraft 1.19.2.
- Forge rather than Fabric, NeoForge, or a vanilla server.
- Fiefdom Version 1.01, or an unambiguous file set tied to that release.
- Any required configuration, scripts, datapacks, and server-side mods.
If the author has not supplied server files, the honest choices are to request them, use an official server arranged by the project, or stop rather than improvising a deployment that other players cannot reproduce.
Install the Forge server on a self-hosted machine
Create an isolated directory
- Create a new directory used only for this Fiefdom server. Do not install into your client’s
.minecraftdirectory or into another modpack’s server folder. - Copy the author-provided server distribution into that directory. Preserve its folder structure and file names.
- Download the Forge installer that matches Minecraft 1.19.2 and the Forge build required by the supplied Fiefdom server files. A different Forge build can change dependency resolution even when the Minecraft version is identical.
Install Forge as a server
Run the Forge installer and choose the server-install option, pointing it at the empty Fiefdom server directory. The installer places the Forge libraries and generates the files or scripts needed to start the server. The exact Forge build and generated file names depend on the installer you selected, so use the script produced in that directory instead of copying a command from a different Forge release.
Accept the EULA and perform the first start
- Start the generated Forge server script once. It will create initial files and normally stop while reporting that the Minecraft EULA has not been accepted.
- Open
eula.txtin the server directory and change only the acceptance value toeula=trueafter reading Mojang’s EULA. - Start the generated script again. Watch the console until Forge finishes loading and reports that the server is ready for connections.
- Stop the server from the console rather than closing the window. This lets Minecraft save the world and configuration cleanly.
Do not add memory flags at this stage. No authoritative Fiefdom page in the indexed material states a RAM requirement, recommended heap size, or Java command line. Start with the Java and Forge settings generated for the selected build, monitor actual memory use, and size the machine from observed load and the number of concurrent players.

Configure the world and access safely
Keep server files authoritative
The server’s mods, configuration, world, and generated Forge files are authoritative for multiplayer. Do not replace them with a player’s client folder after a crash or an update. If the author’s server distribution includes a specific configuration, keep it intact and document every deliberate change.
Set an administrator and backup routine
Use the server console to grant operator permissions only to trusted administrators. Make an offline copy of the world and configuration before changing mods, Forge, or pack files. A backup is useful only if you know how to restore it: stop the server, move the damaged world aside, restore the saved directory, and start the same software set that created the backup.
Make the address reachable
For a home server, allow the Java server process through the operating-system firewall and configure the router or private network according to the port shown in your server configuration. Do not assume a particular port from a generic Minecraft tutorial; use the value in server.properties and the address your network actually exposes. Test from outside the host’s local network, because a local connection can succeed even when internet players cannot reach the machine.
A managed host normally supplies the public address and a control-panel networking setting. Check whether the panel requires a restart after changing the port, and give players the address exactly as displayed by the provider. Avoid publishing an address publicly if you intend the server to remain private.

Make every client match the server
Give players the same Fiefdom Version 1.01 profile rather than asking them to assemble mods individually. Their Minecraft version must be 1.19.2, their loader must be Forge, and their mod and configuration set must correspond to the server distribution. A player on another Fiefdom release can see missing-mod, registry, or channel errors even when the launcher appears to start normally.

- Compare the profile’s Minecraft version.
- Compare the Forge loader family and build required by the server files.
- Compare the Fiefdom release number.
- Remove extra mods added for testing unless the server administrator has installed the same compatible files server-side.
- Restart the client after changing the profile; do not rely on a hot reload.
When a player cannot join, capture the client log and the server console message from the same attempt. The first mismatch reported is usually more useful than a later cascade of missing registry entries.
Managed hosting options and current published plans
Managed hosting can remove port-forwarding and operating-system work, but support for an older Minecraft version is provider-specific. Confirm Fiefdom 1.01 acceptance before purchasing, and ask whether the provider requires a separate server ZIP.

No indexed Fiefdom source gives a minimum or recommended RAM amount, CPU model, player cap, or Java major version. That means a precise “Fiefdom needs X GB” claim would be unsupported. Use the following evidence-based process instead:
- Start with the resources included by your host or available on the self-hosted machine.
- Run the exact server distribution with one or two players and watch memory consumption, tick-time warnings, and disk growth.
- Add players gradually while exploring the same areas and using the pack’s systems; exploration and world generation can create temporary load.
- Increase resources only when measurements show a bottleneck. More RAM cannot fix a mismatched mod set, a broken Java installation, or a server blocked by the firewall.
On a managed plan, compare CPU share, storage, backup retention, and geographic latency as well as the advertised RAM. On a home machine, leave operating-system headroom and ensure the disk can hold the world, logs, backups, and Forge libraries.

Troubleshooting by symptom
The client will not launch
- Confirm that the profile is Fiefdom Version 1.01 for Minecraft 1.19.2 and Forge.
- Check that Java is installed and selected by the launcher; an outdated installation can prevent modpack startup.
- Remove only temporary test changes and read the complete launcher log before reinstalling.
The server stops during startup
- Verify that you installed Forge as a server in the intended directory.
- Check that the server distribution matches Minecraft 1.19.2 and the Forge build it requires.
- Read the first dependency or missing-file error in the console. Do not solve it by copying random client-only mods.
- Confirm that
eula=trueis present after you have accepted the EULA.
Players receive a registry or missing-mod error
Compare the server’s mod and configuration files with the players’ Fiefdom Version 1.01 profiles. The usual causes are a different Minecraft version, Forge loader, pack release, or an extra or missing mod. Check the host firewall, router or provider networking control, and the port configured in server.properties. Test from an external network and verify that the address has not changed. A successful connection from the host itself does not prove that the service is publicly reachable.
The server becomes unstable as more players join
Record when lag begins, how many players are online, and what they are doing. Check memory, CPU, disk space, and console warnings before changing Java flags. Because Fiefdom publishes no pack-specific RAM figure, use those observations to choose a larger machine or plan rather than applying an arbitrary heap value.
Pre-launch checklist
- Fiefdom Version 1.01, Minecraft 1.19.2, and Forge are written down as the target.
- Every player has the same CurseForge profile and has launched it successfully.
- The author or official community has supplied a genuine server distribution, not just a client ZIP.
- Java is installed and accepted by the launcher and Forge build.
- Forge was installed as a server in a clean directory.
- The EULA was accepted and the generated server script reaches a ready state.
- The server address and configured port work from an external test connection.
- Backups include the world and configuration and have a documented restore procedure.
- Administrators know where logs, scripts, and configuration files are stored.
- Any managed host has confirmed 1.19.2 Forge and the exact Fiefdom files before billing begins.
What to do when no server pack is available
Stop at the distribution step and contact the project author or official community. The available release metadata is enough to identify the client target, but not enough to prove that a redistributable server pack, launch script, Java version, or memory recommendation exists. Waiting for an authoritative server file is safer than launching an improvised copy that can corrupt a shared world or leave players with incompatible clients.
