Install Rocket (the maintained Rocket/LDM lineage) first, then copy ImperialPluginsLoader.dll to your server’s Rocket/Plugins/ directory and every supplied library to Rocket/Libraries/. The exact server-instance path varies between a hosted panel and a self-hosted U3DS installation, but the file layout and activation sequence are the same. Missing libraries, an absent Rocket module, incorrect Linux capitalization, or skipping the whitelist restart are the usual causes of failure.

Imperial Plugins Loader is a Rocket plugin loader, not a standalone Unturned server mod. Your server must already have Rocket installed and must be running the same server instance whose files you are editing. You also need the paid Imperial Plugins package downloaded from the product page associated with your purchase. That package contains the loader DLL and a library folder; downloading only the DLL is insufficient.
- Access to the dedicated-server files or to your hosting panel’s file manager.
- A Rocket-compatible Unturned installation. Current documentation commonly calls the maintained lineage Rocket, LDM, or RocketModFix.
- The Imperial Plugins download, including
ImperialPluginsLoader.dlland all supplied libraries. - Your Imperial Plugins license key and the exact product name requested by the generated configuration.
- Permission to restart the server and submit a whitelist request through the Imperial Plugins Dashboard.
- A current backup of the server files, especially before installing third-party assemblies after an Unturned update.
RocketMod’s original team stopped maintenance in December 2019. Maintained forks aim to preserve compatibility, but a plugin compiled for an older game or framework build can still fail after an Unturned update. Treat the loader and its dependencies as version-sensitive files rather than permanent additions.

Choose your server setup
The installation is straightforward in both environments, but the way you install Rocket and reach the files differs.

RocketModFix documents both a standard module installation and an auto-installer. Whichever method you use, verify in the console that the Rocket.Unturned module actually loaded before troubleshooting Imperial Plugins.

- Stop the Unturned server so no files are locked or overwritten while you copy them.
- Locate the U3DS installation that launches this server. The source directory is
U3DS/Extras/Rocket.Unturned/. - Copy the complete
Rocket.Unturneddirectory intoU3DS/Modules/, producingU3DS/Modules/Rocket.Unturned/. - Start the server and inspect the module list or startup console. Continue only when Rocket.Unturned is shown as loaded.
If the module does not appear, fix that framework installation first. A loader DLL placed in a correct plugin folder cannot run when Rocket itself never started.
Enable Rocket on a hosted panel
- Open the server’s modding-framework, startup, or software selector in the hosting panel.
- Choose RocketMod (or the maintained Rocket/LDM option offered by that panel).
- Save the setting and restart the server.
- Read the startup console and confirm that Rocket.Unturned loaded before uploading Imperial’s files.
Panel labels differ by provider. If the panel offers several Unturned frameworks, select the Rocket option rather than a purely vanilla or unrelated loader. The installation guide from Sparked Host uses a server root such as /Servers/unturned; your instance name may be different.

Download the Imperial Plugins package
- Open the purchased Imperial Plugins product page.
- Click Download and save the complete archive locally.
- Extract it without changing filenames. Confirm that it contains
ImperialPluginsLoader.dlland a library folder or set of library files. - Keep the library contents together until they are uploaded. Do not select only the DLL, and do not rename the product or loader files.
The loader is distributed as part of a paid Imperial Plugins product. Your download may contain additional product-specific material; this procedure concerns the loader DLL and the libraries supplied with it.
Upload the loader and every library
Rocket plugins conventionally live one folder deep per plugin. Use the server instance’s own Servers/<YourServer>/Rocket/ directory, not a similarly named directory belonging to another Unturned instance.

On the Sparked Host layout, the concrete destinations are /Servers/unturned/Rocket/Plugins and /Servers/unturned/Rocket/Libraries. Replace unturned with your actual server directory when using another panel.
Linux path and capitalization checks
Linux file systems are case-sensitive. Rocket, rocket, Plugins, and plugins are different directory names. Match the framework’s existing capitalization exactly, and make sure the DLL name is still ImperialPluginsLoader.dll. A file in a correctly named directory belonging to the wrong server instance is just as invisible as a missing file.

Do not flatten or partially copy the library folder
Upload the complete supplied library set to Rocket/Libraries/. If the archive contains a folder, copy its contents into the server’s library directory as required by the package rather than leaving the files inside an extra archive-name directory. Do not delete “unfamiliar” DLLs: the loader may depend on each one. The Sparked Host installation instructions specifically warn that missing libraries prevent the loader from working.
Generate the loader configuration
- Start the server with Rocket and the loader DLL in place.
- Wait for startup to finish, then stop or leave the server running long enough for Rocket to write its configuration files.
- Open the generated Imperial Plugins configuration in the server’s Rocket configuration area.
- Enter the license key supplied with your purchase and the requested product name exactly as shown in your product account.
- Save the file and restart the server.
The configuration is normally created on the first successful load attempt. If no configuration appears, do not invent a filename or create a blank file: check the startup log for a path, confirm the DLL is in the active instance’s Rocket/Plugins/ directory, and verify that Rocket loaded first.

A valid key does not necessarily activate the loader immediately. After the restart with your credentials, the console may report that the plugin is not whitelisted.
- Open the Imperial Plugins Dashboard.
- Submit a whitelist request for the product and server, using the account and product information tied to your purchase.
- Wait for the developer to approve the request. A “not whitelisted” message before approval is an activation state, not proof that the DLL path is wrong.
- After approval, restart the Unturned server again. The final restart allows the loader to retrieve and apply the approved status.
If the dashboard request is rejected or remains pending, preserve the exact console message, product name, server identity, and current plugin version when contacting support. Repeatedly restarting before approval will not bypass the whitelist.

Verify that installation succeeded
Use the startup console and Rocket’s plugin list as your primary checks. A successful installation should show Rocket.Unturned loading before the Imperial loader, followed by the loader initializing without missing-dependency errors. The generated configuration should contain the values you entered, and a post-approval restart should no longer report an unwhitelisted state.
- Confirm the active server path in the panel or launch script.
- Confirm the DLL appears under that instance’s
Rocket/Plugins/directory. - Confirm all package libraries appear under the matching
Rocket/Libraries/directory. - Check that the plugin is not nested two or more folders deep.
- Read the complete startup log instead of relying only on the last line displayed by a panel.
- Test the Imperial product’s documented in-game command or feature only after the loader reports ready.
Troubleshoot common installation failures
Rocket.Unturned is absent from the module list
Imperial Plugins cannot load without Rocket. On U3DS, recheck the copy from U3DS/Extras/Rocket.Unturned/ to U3DS/Modules/Rocket.Unturned/. On a panel, reselect RocketMod in the framework setting and reboot. If another framework is selected, its plugin directory may not be scanned by Rocket.
The loader throws errors immediately
Compare the package’s library folder with the server’s Rocket/Libraries/ directory file by file. Re-upload every supplied dependency, preserving names and capitalization. A bare ImperialPluginsLoader.dll is not a complete installation. Also verify that you uploaded to the same server instance that produced the startup log.
The plugin is silently ignored on Linux
Check exact capitalization for the server directory, Rocket, Plugins, the plugin folder, and the DLL. Ensure the file is no more than one plugin folder deep and that permissions allow the server process to read it. A common mistake is uploading to plugins while the framework uses Plugins.

No configuration file is generated
Start the server once with the DLL in place; configuration generation occurs during loading, not merely when files are uploaded. If it still does not appear, inspect the log for an assembly or dependency error, confirm Rocket loaded, and verify that the panel did not place the file in a staging or inactive server directory.
The console says “not whitelisted”
Submit the whitelist request through the Imperial Plugins Dashboard and wait for developer approval. Entering the key again or moving the DLL will not replace that approval step. Restart only after approval has been granted.
The server broke after an Unturned update
Stop the server and restore your backup if necessary. Check whether the maintained Rocket/LDM framework and the Imperial product have releases compatible with the new game build. The Rocket catalogue contains legacy software, so an Unturned update can invalidate compiled assemblies even when your file paths are correct. Do not keep reintroducing third-party DLLs to a production server without a rollback point.
Manual module installation versus an auto-installer
A maintained Rocket fork may offer an auto-installer, but the choice affects control rather than the Imperial activation requirements.

For a first installation, the manual path is often easier to audit because every required directory is visible. An auto-installer is reasonable when you trust the maintained framework package and can verify its module output in the console.

Hosted panel or self-hosted U3DS: which is easier?
A hosted panel reduces framework setup and gives you a restart button and browser-based file manager. It can also hide the active server path, making it easier to upload to the wrong instance. Self-hosted U3DS exposes the complete directory tree and gives you direct control over backups, services, and rollback, but you must install and maintain the Rocket module yourself.
If you prefer provider-managed restarts, filesystem access, and framework selection, look for managed Unturned server hosting that explicitly supports Rocket or LDM. Confirm the provider’s current framework options and backup policy before moving a live server; the Imperial loader still requires the same DLL, library, credential, whitelist, and restart sequence.
