Search for the player’s Roblox username or open their profile. If they are playing an experience and allow others to follow or join them, select Join Experience. You can join only if the experience also grants your account access; there is no way to bypass another player’s privacy settings or an experience’s restrictions.
Join a player from search or their profile
- Search Roblox for the person’s exact username, or open their profile.
- Look for Join Experience in the search result or on the profile. It appears only when the player is currently in an experience and their settings allow others to follow or join them.
- Select Join Experience. The experience must also allow your account to enter. Roblox describes this feature in its guide to following or joining another player.
“Anyone” does not mean every Roblox user can join every player. Whether the option appears depends on the other player’s choices, and entry can also depend on the experience’s access rules.
Why “Join Experience” may be missing
- The player is not currently in an experience.
- Their visibility or joining settings do not include you.
- The experience does not permit your account to enter.
Roblox says the audiences available for visibility settings can vary by age and region. You cannot make the join option appear by changing your own settings if the other player’s settings or the experience’s access rules prevent it.
Check your own visibility settings
To manage who can see your status or current experience, Roblox’s current support path is Settings → Privacy & content restrictions → Visibility & private servers → Visibility. Online Status controls who can see when you are online. Show current experience controls who can see the experience you are playing and who can join. Roblox notes that restricting one setting can affect related visibility settings. See Roblox’s visibility and private-server settings guide.

If you are not friends
You can open the person’s profile and select Add Friend. They can accept or decline the request. A friend request does not override their visibility choices or the experience’s access requirements. Roblox explains the request process in its friend request instructions.
If you see error 524
Roblox says error 524 typically means your account lacks permission to join that experience or private server. Check the experience’s access rules. For a private server, its owner may need to add your username to the server’s member list or enable the applicable friend-access option. See Roblox’s error 524 guidance.

Protect your account and control contact
Use the player’s Roblox username or profile; do not share your account credentials to arrange a join. If you no longer want contact from someone, blocking them removes the mutual friend or follower connection and prevents direct contact, including experience invitations. Roblox’s blocking instructions explain how.
