Check your Roblox moderation notification first. If it identifies an account moderation action, it confirms that Roblox has acted on your account and tells you how to appeal. A failed login, connection error, or inability to open one experience alone does not prove you were banned.
How to check whether your Roblox account was moderated
- Look for a Roblox moderation notification. Roblox says the notice explains the action and the appeal options available to you. It may direct you to Violations & Appeals or to the Support Form. Read Roblox’s appeal guidance.
- If the issue appears tied to a particular platform, try signing in elsewhere. For Xbox Error 901, Roblox recommends checking the account on a different device, such as a browser or mobile device, to review its status. This is Xbox-specific troubleshooting advice, not proof that every login failure means an account ban. See Roblox’s Error 901 guidance.
- Separate an account action from a technical problem. If there is no moderation notice, an access problem by itself does not establish that Roblox banned your account. Follow the troubleshooting steps for the platform or error you are seeing.
What Roblox moderation can mean
Moderation actions can differ in scope: Roblox lists warnings, content removal, and account-level restrictions. The consequence depends on the violation and a user’s history; not every violation results in a permanent account ban. Roblox notes that “Repeated violations of our policies may increase the severity of consequences (i.e., a warning, followed by a timeout, followed by a suspension, etc.).” Roblox’s content moderation overview describes these outcomes.
How to appeal an account moderation action
- Use the route in your notice. If the action is eligible, the notice may link to Violations & Appeals. Select Appeal, explain why you believe the action merits review, and check the appeal status there.
- If the action is not listed, use Roblox’s Support Form. For an account appeal, provide your account username and a brief statement explaining why the action should be reviewed. Follow the options shown in your current notice and Roblox’s official appeal instructions.
- Submit within the applicable period. Roblox’s guidance states that appeals must be submitted within 30 days of the moderation action affecting the account. It separately gives users in the EU six months to appeal an initial moderation action. The applicable deadline depends on your location and the action, so check the notice and current Roblox guidance promptly.
An appeal requests a review; it does not guarantee the consequence will be removed. Roblox also says a moderation action that has already been reviewed cannot be reviewed again, and duplicate appeals for the same action will not be reviewed. Make your explanation clear and avoid sending repeated appeals.
If Roblox showed an anti-cheat or modified-app warning
Roblox says modified apps, or software that changes how Roblox works, can lead to a temporary suspension and, for repeated violations, a permanent ban. Its recommendation is to use the official, unmodified Roblox app. This guidance describes a possible policy consequence; it does not establish why any particular account was moderated.
