Link your PSN account to Battle.net
- Sign in to Battle.net Account Management with the Battle.net account you want to use.
- Open Connections and find PlayStation Network. Choose the connect option and follow the on-screen authorization steps. Blizzard’s account-linking guidance identifies Account Management as the place to connect supported third-party accounts.
- Before completing the link, verify that the displayed PSN account is the one you intend to associate. Blizzard allows one linked account per supported platform type on a Battle.net account, and a platform account cannot be linked to multiple Battle.net accounts.
- Launch the supported game on PS5 and follow any game-specific prompt. Some games require a separate confirmation or merge before cross-progression is available.
What to check if you cannot link the accounts
Work out which stage is failing before disconnecting anything. Blizzard’s linking support page lists account eligibility and an existing connection as troubleshooting checks.
- Battle.net account status: Make sure the account is fully registered, not a trial account.
- Existing connection: Check whether the PSN account is already linked to another Battle.net account, or whether a different PSN account is connected to the Battle.net account you signed into.
- Cooldown: If you have recently changed or removed a link, an account-specific cooldown may prevent another change.
If the wrong PSN account is linked
In Account Management, open Connections and choose Disconnect beside the connected console account. Blizzard warns that many account links have cooldowns: the applicable period appears in Account Management, varies by link, and cannot be bypassed by Customer Support. Check which PSN and Battle.net accounts are involved before disconnecting, since you may not be able to correct the association immediately. See Blizzard’s unlinking guidance for details.
Does linking transfer game progress?
Not by itself in every game. Linking associates PSN with Battle.net for supported services, but progress, purchases, and wallet balances depend on the specific game and its rules.

Overwatch 2 cross-progression
For Overwatch 2, Blizzard says cross-progression requires linked accounts and confirmation of an account merge. Sign into the game through the console account and confirm the merge when prompted. Blizzard says progress is stored on Battle.net after merging, and linked accounts can access that progression on console. See the Overwatch 2 account merge and cross-progression support page.
For another game, check that game’s official support information for its own merge, progression, and purchase-transfer requirements; do not assume the Overwatch 2 process applies to it.
