1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteTo make a profit in Supermarket Together, keep shelves stocked with products customers will buy, set prices high enough to earn a margin without driving complaints or slowing progression, and avoid spending cash on stock, staff, and expansion faster than your store can support. Adjust one part of the operation at a time and watch how sales, queues, and cash change.
Set prices for both margin and progression
Community advice offers two starting points, but neither is a developer-confirmed formula. One player recommends pricing around 1.99 times a product’s market price; another suggests market price multiplied by two, minus 0.01, reporting complaints above that point. Other players recommend a more conservative 40–60% markup early on, arguing that very high prices can slow leveling and Franchise Point gains. These observations are anecdotal and may vary with game version and circumstances. See the discussions at Steam Community and Steam Community.
A practical approach is to begin with a moderate markup, then adjust a small selection of products and observe customer complaints and sales in your current game. If customers still buy steadily and complaints remain manageable, test a slightly higher price. If sales or progression slow, reduce it. The available discussions do not establish one universally optimal price.
Balance shelf stock against cash on hand
Products on shelves can generate sales; money tied up in excess reserve boxes cannot be used for other needs. Keep enough stock to avoid empty displays, but base orders on likely demand and the cash available for the next round of operating costs. Community players suggest sorting products by lowest stock and ordering quantities suited to the expected day rather than buying large reserves across the board. These are situational tips, not fixed inventory targets.

Early on, a narrower range can be easier to finance and manage than immediately stocking every newly unlocked product. Unlocks may expand what you can sell, but each new line requires money for stock and can add work for staff. Expand the range when current sales and cash flow can support it.
Recheck prices and costs as conditions change
One community discussion reports that in-game inflation occurs weekly on Thursday and recommends buying stock on Wednesday. This timing is not confirmed by the developer, so check prices in your current game instead of relying on it as a rule. The discussion also recommends keeping customer growth manageable while you learn the store’s operating rhythm.

Put staff where the store is bottlenecked
The developer’s Steam listing describes 18 hireable employees across seven roles: cashier, restock, storage, security, technician, packaging, and manufacturing. Employees gain experience in their assigned role. Hire and assign staff to solve the problem actually limiting sales or operations; adding payroll without a clear need can strain early cash flow. The official Steam store listing describes the roles and progression system.
Community advice suggests prioritizing checkout coverage during busy periods and shifting restocking to quieter periods. Watch the store: if queues are growing, checkout capacity may matter more than another restocker; if shelves are emptying while tills are quiet, restocking may be the more urgent job. The right allocation depends on your store’s demand and layout.

Control queues, cleanliness, and theft
The developer specifically notes that cleaning can make customers happier and that catching shoplifters prevents end-of-day financial losses; the listing also mentions CCTV for monitoring theft. These are operational duties, not distractions from making money. An unclean shop or unchecked theft can undermine the value of a well-stocked store.
Players have also reported that theft may be affected by difficulty, low stock, prices above twice market, and long checkout queues, and suggest using barriers or planters to slow thieves. Treat those details as anecdotal and version-sensitive rather than guaranteed mechanics. If theft is affecting your finances, monitor the store and use the security tools available to you.

Expand only when sales can carry the added costs
Successful operation grants Franchise Points, which can be used at the skills blackboard to unlock products or improve employee performance. Expanding public space creates room for more merchandise, while additional facilities and departments are later-stage options. The official listing describes these systems, but it does not prescribe a best upgrade order.
Before unlocking another product line, adding shelves, or increasing customer numbers, consider whether you can afford the stock and staffing that expansion requires. Community players recommend unlocking employee access early and pacing customer increases to match the store’s capacity; these are player strategies, not official requirements. More customers can create more sales opportunities, but only if your staff can serve them and the store can remain stocked and secure.

A practical profit check
- Check cash and stock: identify which products are running low and order enough to keep useful items available without overcommitting funds.
- Review prices: start with a moderate markup, test adjustments on a small group of products, and watch sales and complaints.
- Find the bottleneck: check whether queues, empty shelves, storage, cleaning, or theft are hurting store operations.
- Assign labor accordingly: put employees in the roles that address the current problem, and avoid hiring ahead of need.
- Grow in steps: add product lines, customers, or facilities only when your current cash flow can support their costs.
The Steam listing advertises more than 300 products and says a fully improved store can hold up to 49,000 products on shelves. Those are potential scale figures, not early-game targets; profitable growth depends on building up to the capacity your operation can actually manage.
