First find out which company bills you: Apple, Roku, Paramount+ or Max directly, or an internet, mobile, or TV provider. That company—not the device you use to watch—controls most subscription changes. Check the service’s subscription screen, receipts, and payment statement, then use the matching steps below. A verified Paramount+-specific transfer process for Apple or provider billing is not established in the official guidance cited here, so confirm the steps with the company shown as your biller.
Find out who bills the subscription
Opening Paramount+ or Max on an Apple device or Roku does not mean Apple or Roku bills you. The app may simply be where you watch. For Max, open the account’s subscription or billing screen; Max says it can identify the billing company there. You can also check your bank or card statement, or ask your internet, mobile, or TV provider whether it bills the account. Max: Who bills me for Max?
- Apple: Look for the Apple receipt and note which Apple Account it was sent to. Apple recommends searching email for “receipt from Apple.”
- Roku: Check your Roku subscriptions and purchase history, and compare the charge description with the examples below.
- Direct or provider billing: Check the service’s account screen, payment statement, or provider account for the billing company’s name.
Apple’s subscription instructions also recommend checking other Apple Accounts if the subscription is missing from the one you first checked. If there is no Apple receipt, check the statement and contact the company that charged you. Apple: If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple
Manage an Apple-billed subscription
If Apple bills the subscription, use Apple’s subscription controls to change or cancel it. On an iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > your name > Subscriptions, select the subscription, and choose an available option. If you cannot find the service, check the receipt for the Apple Account used to buy it and look for another Apple Account you may have used. If the receipt names another company, that company—not Apple—bills the subscription, so contact it to make changes.
Manage a Roku-billed subscription
Roku subscription controls apply when Roku bills and manages the subscription. Go to my.roku.com/subscriptions, sign in to the Roku account used for the purchase, and select the subscription to manage it. You can also select the app on the Roku home screen and open its subscription controls. Roku says access generally continues until the current billing period ends after you turn off auto-renew; that timing should not be assumed for subscriptions billed by Apple, the service, or another provider. Roku lists “Roku for CBS Interactive” as an example charge associated with Paramount+, and “Roku for Warner Media Global Digital Services LLC” as an example associated with Max. A charge naming Paramount+ directly can indicate a direct-provider subscription. These are clues, not a substitute for checking the account and purchase history tied to the charge. Manage Max billed by an internet, mobile, or TV provider
If Max identifies an internet, mobile, or TV provider as the biller, use that provider’s website, help center, or customer support to change or cancel the subscription. Max says provider-billed subscriptions are managed through the provider, not through Max’s direct billing controls. If the subscription is billed directly by WarnerMedia, Max says its account controls can be used to change the plan or payment method, or cancel. Follow the options shown in your own Max account, since billing routes and available controls can differ. Max: Who bills me for Max?
What to do about Paramount+ transfers or provider billing
The official Apple and provider guidance cited here does not establish a Paramount+-specific procedure for transferring or updating a subscription billed through Apple or a TV provider. Do not assume that changing Apple TV settings, signing in on a different device, or changing a provider package will transfer the billing relationship. Contact the biller named on your receipt, provider account, or payment statement, or contact Paramount+ support for instructions specific to your account.

After changing or canceling a subscription, look for confirmation in the account of the company that bills you and check its renewal or cancellation status. If the subscription disappears from one account, verify whether it is attached to another Apple Account, Roku account, or a direct service account before concluding that billing has ended.

Before starting a new paid plan, check both the existing biller and the new subscription’s terms, including the effective cancellation or end date. Do not assume Paramount+ or Max will automatically reconcile overlapping subscriptions.
