There are two different things you might mean by “open” at General’s Shrine in Where Winds Meet: the cracked floor leading underground, or the locked door in the large ruined house. For the cave entrance, progress Echoes in the Shrine, inspect Zhang San’s dropped booklet, then use Mighty Drop in midair over the marked slab. For the house door, follow the underground quest route to a ladder and open it from inside.
How to break the cracked floor and enter the underground passage

At General’s Shrine in Qinghe, speak to Zhang San, who is kneeling by the shrine. In the quest sequence, he collapses, wakes and tells you about a fake martial-arts book before leaving a booklet behind.

Inspect the dropped booklet. This advances Echoes in the Shrine and marks the nearby cracked stone slab as suspicious. The slab will not respond to an ordinary interaction before this quest step. AllThingsHow’s walkthrough describes the trigger and move.

Near the landing point, pick up Shitou’s cuju ball if you want it before continuing. Farther along, a chest contains Flaming Arrows for later quest obstacles.
How to open the large house door
The door in the large ruined house is not opened from outside. Continue through the underground portion of Echoes in the Shrine, following the route after the mini-boss and hidden-treasure sequence. Climb the ladder into the room, loot the chest if you wish, then open the door from its interior side. AltChar’s route guide covers this one-way entrance.

Is the General’s Shrine antique required?
No. The antique is a separate collectible objective, not a prerequisite for breaking the slab or opening the house door. A Nerd’s Chalk guide links it to a document called Lie Yang’s Final Words (the spelling varies in guide text) from Northern Vow Ruins and a chest beside the final ladder beneath General’s Shrine. That guide says either order works: register the document and then open the chest, or open the chest first and read the document later.
