How to open the Brookhaven Hospital safe
- Solve the Hand puzzle. Arrange the bracelets correctly on the hand. The result is 92, 45, 71, and you receive the Director’s Storage Room Key.
- Enter the Director’s Storage Room. Take the missing safe button and rearrange the books to reconstruct the lion image. The completed book arrangement reveals the astrological symbol-to-number cipher.
- Use the cipher on the Hand puzzle code. Keep the number groups in order: 92, 45, 71. The safe uses symbol buttons, so do not enter those figures as ordinary digits.
- Install the missing button and enter the sequence. Count the safe’s buttons from left to right and press 6 → 3 → 9 → 5 → 8 → 7.
- Collect the contents. The safe contains the Rooftop Key and a Safe Note.

The Hand puzzle gives the numerical code, but the safe’s buttons are represented by symbols. The books in the Director’s Storage Room provide the cipher that translates those numbers into the button presses. Once you have the cipher, the resulting left-to-right button order is 6, 3, 9, 5, 8, 7.

Make sure you are at the right Brookhaven puzzle
The code above is for the safe in the Director’s Office. Brookhaven also has a reception padlock, a Nurses’ Station keypad, and the Room D1 combination lock; they are separate puzzles with different solutions. If you are facing one of those locks, this safe sequence will not open it.
