Enter 1128 at the keypad beside the Campsite to open the Orchard Gate. To discover the code in-game, restore power to the Darkroom, then use the Magnifying Glass on the photograph of the Orchard entrance: the tree carving reads 11-28.
Where to find the Orchard Gate
Leave the house and cross the grounds toward the Campsite. The locked entrance beside it leads to the Apple Orchard; guides also refer to it as the Campsite Gate.

How to find the code in-game

Draft both the Darkroom and the Utility Closet.

Use the breaker in the Utility Closet to restore power to the Darkroom.

Use the in-game Magnifying Glass to inspect the photograph showing the Orchard entrance. The tree in the image is carved with 11-28; enter those digits without the hyphen.

Enter the code and open the gate
Return to the Campsite entrance and enter 1128 on the keypad. The gate opens to the Apple Orchard. If you already know the code, you can enter it directly without completing the clue route.

What opening the Orchard unlocks
Opening the Orchard grants 20 extra steps each day. The gasline valve inside the Orchard is a separate interaction: its state does not control this daily step reward. The Orchard’s sundial is also a separate, later puzzle element.
