What the browser version is—and what it is not
A fan guide describes a browser port of the 2010 Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies experience at vel.gg. The guide says the project is unofficial, not an Activision release, and that the guide itself does not host Black Ops files. Those are the guide’s descriptions, not independent verification of the port’s code, operator, or security. The guide says its port information was last checked on October 10, 2026.

That distinction matters: “runs in a browser” does not mean “official” or “verified safe.” The available sources do not establish an independent security audit or guarantee safe play. Do not interpret the absence of a reported incident as proof that a site is safe.
What you need to try the browser port
The fan guide describes the port as desktop-only and says to use a keyboard and mouse. Its stated browser requirements and download figures are the site’s own operational guidance, not independently tested requirements:

- WebGL 2 and GPU acceleration enabled in the browser.
- A stated game heap of 1.5 GiB.
- A first download of several hundred MB for each map, which the guide says is cached in browser storage.
Expect a substantial initial load, especially when opening a map for the first time. The guide does not establish that the same performance or storage behavior will apply on every computer or browser.
How to approach it cautiously
- Check the address first. Confirm that the page you intend to visit is on the domain you expect before clicking or entering information. Be cautious about unexpected redirects.
- Keep sensitive information out of it. Do not enter your Activision password, payment details, or other personal information into an unofficial port or a page claiming to provide access to it.
- Do not install add-ons to make it work. A browser game should not require you to install an extension or executable offered by a play page. Leave if access depends on an unexpected download.
- Stop if the page behaves unexpectedly. Close it if it redirects to an unrelated site or asks for credentials, payment, or downloads you did not expect.
Activision Support advises, “Do not trust any suspicious websites or offers for in-game items such as COD Points, cosmetic items, add-ons, or other digital content.” Its warning concerns suspicious offers and services generally; it is not a specific finding about this browser port. If you specifically want the licensed PC release, use the Steam listing rather than treating a fan port as an equivalent product. The current Xbox cloud listing does not confirm access to the 2010 game. Activision announced iOS and Android Black Ops Zombies editions in 2011 and 2012, respectively, but those historical announcements do not verify that either app is currently available. 2011 iOS announcement; 2012 Android announcement.
