Squirrel Girl is a ranged Duelist who pressures enemies with bouncing, arcing acorns and controls a key target with Squirrel Blockade. Use Burst Acorn to pressure groups and predictable routes, Tail Bounce to reposition, and Mammal Bond when its reload and extra ability use can both help. Her latest documented Burst Acorn damage is 100, and Mammal Bond’s cooldown is 15 seconds.
What Squirrel Girl does best
NetEase’s official hero profile lists Squirrel Girl at 275 health and 6 m/s movement speed. Her kit suits ranged pressure and area control: Burst Acorn arcs and bounces, while its impact creates an area effect. That makes clustered opponents, choke points, and predictable routes useful places to aim, though it does not guarantee that every enemy in a group will be hit.

How to use each ability
Burst Acorn: pressure an area
Burst Acorn is an arcing, bouncing projectile with an impact field. NetEase’s profile lists 110 damage, but the September 2025 balance update reduced that value to 100; 100 is the latest documented damage value located. The May 2025 update raised its capacity from 10 to 12 acorns. Aim where opponents are moving or grouping rather than treating it like a straight-flying shot.

Tail Bounce: change elevation or leave danger
Tail Bounce launches Squirrel Girl upward. The official profile lists a 9 m jump and an 8-second cooldown. Use it to find a different firing angle, cross a small vertical gap, or create distance when pressured. Think through where you will land before using it: an upward launch is not evidence of invulnerability or a guaranteed escape.
Squirrel Blockade: control the first target hit
Squirrel Blockade imprisons the first enemy it hits. Its hit damage was increased from 35 to 50 in September 2025, and its uncharged projectile speed was increased from 20 m/s to 30 m/s in February 2026. These changes make the ability more responsive than its older version, but target selection still matters. If a particular enemy needs interrupting—such as an opponent threatening your back line—avoid firing through a different enemy who could be hit first.

Mammal Bond: reload and gain another ability use
Mammal Bond reloads Burst Acorns and grants one use of another ability without its cooldown. Its cooldown was reduced from 12 to 10 seconds in May 2025, then increased to 15 seconds in September 2025; 15 seconds is the latest documented value located. Use it when both parts can matter: for example, a reload plus another Squirrel Blockade opportunity, or a reload plus Tail Bounce to reposition. These are situational options, not a universally best sequence.
Unbeatable Squirrel Tsunami: use the bounce route
The ultimate sends out a horde that bounces off structures and seeks the nearest enemy after bouncing. That targeting behavior was added in January 2025, when the horde’s health was also reduced from 600 to 300. Consider the nearby surfaces and enemy positions when choosing where to send it; the horde can be destroyed, and its behavior does not guarantee a team wipe.

Make the ability choices fit the fight

What has changed, and what to check in-game
The documented balance history helps explain why older guides may give different numbers or team-up details:
- January 2025: Unbeatable Squirrel Tsunami began seeking the nearest enemy after bouncing; horde health fell from 600 to 300.
- May 2025: Burst Acorn capacity rose from 10 to 12, Mammal Bond’s cooldown fell from 12 to 10 seconds, and NetEase said it optimized the release feel of Squirrel Blockade, Tail Bounce, and the ultimate.
- July 2025: Squirrel Girl lost Webbed Acorn from the Spider-Man team-up and joined Stark Protocol with Iron Man, gaining Squirrel Missile.
- September 2025: Burst Acorn damage fell from 110 to 100, Squirrel Blockade hit damage rose from 35 to 50, and Mammal Bond’s cooldown rose from 10 to 15 seconds.
- February 2026: Squirrel Blockade’s uncharged projectile speed rose from 20 m/s to 30 m/s.
- July 2026: A Rocket Raccoon–Squirrel Girl team-up increased healing per Squirrel Girl acorn from 20 to 30. The July notes call this team-up Mammalian Bond and also list Mammalian Bond and Squirrel Missile for visual-effect optimization.
Team-up availability and pairings can change. NetEase’s hero profile includes legacy team-up entries, so check the in-game team-up panel for the pairings currently available rather than assuming every entry on the profile is active. The most recent official season material located is the Season 10 update, scheduled to end October 9, 2026, at 09:00 UTC; it does not announce a Squirrel Girl balance change. Values above are the latest documented in the cited official material, not a live in-client audit.
