The next announced route into RLCS competition is the Club Championship Open Online Qualifier, scheduled to begin in November 2026. Psyonix has set aside four places for qualifier teams alongside 20 invited clubs, but has not yet published the sign-up dates, eligibility rules, roster requirements, or qualifier format. Check the official Rocket League competitive announcements and competitive rules index for those instructions before entering.
Which RLCS qualification route is open next?
The 2026 Rocket League World Championship ran September 15–20, 2026, and has concluded. The next announced opportunity is the Club Championship Open Online Qualifier, which Psyonix says will begin in November 2026. It will determine four places in a 24-club competition, with the other 20 clubs receiving invitations. Psyonix’s announcement says full details, including sign-up and eligibility, will follow before the qualifier opens.
That means there is not yet a published step-by-step registration process to follow. Do not assume that a past RLCS season’s roster, residency, or points rules automatically apply to this new competition.
What should you do before entering?
- Monitor official updates. Check Rocket League’s competitive announcements and current rules index for the Club Championship qualifier’s registration opening, eligibility criteria, roster rules, and format.
- Confirm which event and mode you are entering. The rules index lists separate rules for RLCS 2026, 2v2, and 1v1. Requirements can vary by event and mode, so use the rules that name your specific competition.
- Build or finalize a roster after the rules appear. Verify each player’s eligibility and the required roster size against the qualifier rules, not assumptions drawn from earlier 3v3 play.
- Register through the process Psyonix publishes. The announcement does not identify a registration portal or provide signup steps. Once official instructions are posted, follow them and then compete in the published qualifier format.
How the completed 2026 standard 3v3 season worked
The prior standard 2026 3v3 route used regional online Opens. The top 16 teams in each region earned RLCS Qualification Points based on placement; points from Opens 1–3 determined qualification for Major 1. The season had six Opens across two splits, with cumulative points used for later progression. Psyonix’s season announcement and the Open 1 format and points details describe that system.

These Opens and the 2026 Worlds are over, so their points do not provide a route into the upcoming Club Championship qualifier. They are useful only as context for how the previous standard 3v3 season operated.
Past 2026 3v3 residency requirements
For a standard three-player 2026 3v3 roster, at least two starting players had to satisfy the region’s eligibility requirements through citizenship or permanent legal residency. A four-player roster with a substitute needed three eligible players. These were rules for the standard 2026 season, not confirmed Club Championship qualifier rules. The 2026 season announcement is the source for those requirements.

What is the RLCS Club Championship?
Psyonix describes the Club Championship as separate from the established Major structure. Its Kickoff is scheduled for December 9–13, 2026, at Copper Box Arena in London; public audience dates are December 11–13. After the Kickoff, the 24 clubs are set to compete in regional online league play for places at a 16-team Club Finale LAN in 2027. The Kickoff announcement says ticket information was still forthcoming.
The qualifier’s four places and the 20 invitations determine entry into the Club Championship field; they should not be confused with the later league-play route to the 2027 finale.
