Redeem a standard PlayStation Store voucher while signed in to the PlayStation account that should receive its funds or content. The menu differs by device: use the profile menu on the web, the Store’s More menu on PS5, or the bottom of the Store sidebar on PS4. Sony’s voucher instructions say standard voucher codes contain 12 digits.
Redeem a code on the web
- Open PlayStation Store in a browser and select your profile at the top of the screen.
- Choose Redeem Code from the drop-down menu.
- Enter the 12-digit voucher code, then select Continue.
The voucher’s funds or content are applied to the account currently signed in.

Redeem a code on PS5
- Open PlayStation Store and press Triangle to open its menu.
- Select … (More) > Redeem Code.
- Enter the 12-digit code and select Redeem.
- If Download appears for the content, select it to begin downloading.
Sony notes that the Download option does not appear for content that does not require a download.
Redeem a code on PS4
- Open PlayStation Store and scroll to the bottom of the sidebar.
- Select Redeem Codes.
- Enter the 12-digit code and choose Continue > Confirm or Yes.
- If prompted to download content, choose Continue > Download.
As on PS5, Sony says download options are omitted when the content does not require a download.

Redeem during checkout
If you are already buying something, Sony also allows voucher redemption during checkout: choose Redeem Codes and Gift Cards from the payment-method menu.
Check what kind of code you have
12-digit voucher
Standard PlayStation Store vouchers have 12 digits and can provide wallet balance or content such as games and add-ons, in-game currency and consumables, season passes, or subscriptions. Redeem them through the platform steps above.

10-digit discount code
A 10-digit discount code is not entered through the voucher redemption menu. Apply it to your shopping cart during checkout instead. Sony lists restrictions: discount codes cannot be used for subscriptions, pre-orders, alongside another discount code in the same purchase, or across more than one purchase.

Confirm the account and region before redeeming
- Match the account’s country or region. The voucher must be for the same country or region as the PlayStation account. For a physical voucher, check the country or region flag printed on it.
- Use the intended account. A voucher can be redeemed once, and funds or content cannot be transferred to another account. Redeemed vouchers can be checked in Account Management transaction details.
- For a child account, involve the family manager. Wallet top-up vouchers for child accounts must be redeemed by the family manager, who can set a monthly spending limit for the child.
- Check subscription requirements. Some subscription vouchers may require a valid payment method on the account.
If the code or content does not work
- Recheck the code. Confirm that you entered every digit correctly and that the voucher is still valid; some vouchers have an expiry date. On a physical gift card, reveal all digits carefully.
- Check PlayStation Status. A network problem may prevent redemption from completing.
- If redeemed content is missing, refresh the console and account session. Restart the console and check again. If it is still missing, sign out and back in to the account that redeemed the code.
