Fortress Saga’s official instructions explain how to switch to a different login, not how to reset progress on the same account. The documented route is Settings → Log out → Restart Game → Login with the new account. Rerolling may cost you progress, and Pocket Gamer’s current guide advises against it because early hero access is limited.
What “rerolling” means in Fortress Saga
Players use “reroll” to mean starting over early in a game to try for a different hero or opening. That is different from switching to another login account. The official support instructions cover the account switch; they do not document a way to erase progress on the same linked account, a guest-account reroll loop, or guaranteed deletion of a save.
Fortress Saga is an idle RPG built around a moving fortress, hero summons, upgrades, and offline progression, according to its Google Play listing. The listing also identifies in-app purchases and random items, so treat summon outcomes and spending carefully.
How to switch accounts
- Open Settings in the game.
- Choose Log out.
- Restart the game.
- Log in with the new account.
These steps are from Fortress Saga support’s instructions for logging in with a different account. They change the login account; they are not documented as a same-account progress reset. Before logging out, make sure you can still access the account you want to keep.

If your linked save appears to have reset
If play data linked with Google or Apple appears to have reset, do not treat that as a reroll opportunity. Fortress Saga support directs players with reset play data to Customer Service. The cited instructions do not establish that clearing app data or switching accounts will restore or safely delete a linked save.
Is rerolling worth it?
Pocket Gamer’s current Fortress Saga guide recommends against rerolling: its reasoning is that early play does not give access to all heroes, while restarting sacrifices progress without guaranteeing a desirable hero. That is the guide’s assessment, not a developer rule or a guarantee about every player’s experience.

A fresh account can still make sense if you deliberately want a clean start and are willing to replay the opening.
