If Roblox Studio opens, go to File > Settings, confirm with OK, then select Reset All Settings at the lower-left of the dialog. Roblox documents this as a graphics-troubleshooting step, not as a detailed guarantee about which Studio preferences it resets.
Reset settings from inside Roblox Studio
Use this route when Studio can start without crashing. Roblox includes it in its computer graphics troubleshooting guidance: Graphics Problems on Computers.
- Open Roblox Studio.
- Choose File > Settings.
- Click OK to proceed.
- Select Reset All Settings at the lower-left of the settings dialog.
The button’s label is broad, but Roblox’s support instructions present it in a graphics troubleshooting context and do not specify which individual preference categories are affected.
Reset Roblox settings on a Mac
Roblox gives Mac users a separate file-based method in its Mac: Troubleshooting guidance: open Library > Preferences and delete the Roblox com files. Roblox says the files should be recreated when you launch Studio or Player again.

This is a Mac-specific instruction. The support guidance does not identify specific filenames in the surfaced steps, so do not remove guessed files; it also does not establish this as a Windows procedure.
If resetting settings does not fix the problem
Try Roblox’s broader General Roblox Studio Issues troubleshooting guidance one step at a time. It includes restarting the computer and mentions reinstalling Roblox on Mac. Those are general troubleshooting actions, not additional settings-reset controls.
