To restore Asphalt 8 progress, install or update the game and sign in with the same account that was linked to the save. For a transfer while both devices are available, Gameloft’s specific procedure is to update the game on both devices and use the same Discord account linked to the desired game account on the new device. If you no longer have access to the linked account—or your progress was linked only to Facebook—follow the support steps below.
Restore progress when you can access the linked account
Gameloft’s general instructions for reinstalling the game or moving to a replacement device are to install Asphalt 8 and log in with the account previously linked to your progress. The account matters: signing in with a different one may not load the save you want. See Gameloft’s device-transfer guidance.
- Install Asphalt 8 on the device where you want to play. If the game is already installed, update it.
- Open the game and sign in with the same account you linked to the progress you want to restore.
- Allow time for the game to synchronize. Gameloft says cloud synchronization may take a while; it does not give a fixed completion time.
Gameloft says cloud saves require signing in with a social-network account. To check or manage the linked account, open Game settings → My profile → Social. Its guidance lists Discord, Google Play Games, Microsoft, and Game Center as supported sign-in options; which option is available can depend on your device and platform. See How do I save progress?.
Transfer progress while you still have both devices
Gameloft has a more specific procedure for synchronizing progress between two devices: update Asphalt 8 on both devices, then sign in on the new device with the same Discord account linked to the game account whose progress you want. The company says the transfer can be made by the player using that Discord account. Follow Gameloft’s two-device transfer instructions.

- On the new device, sign in with the same Discord account linked to the desired game account.
- Give synchronization time to complete before concluding that the save is unavailable.
Gameloft says synchronization can work across devices on different platforms, but that does not establish that every platform and account combination will transfer. For troubleshooting, consult its synchronization troubleshooting page.
If your progress was linked only to Facebook
Facebook login is no longer supported in Asphalt 8. If Facebook was the only account linked to your save and you have lost access to that progress, contact Gameloft Customer Care and explain the situation. Prepare your details before contacting support
You can find your Gameloft Player ID in the game by opening game options → Info → About. Include it when describing the issue to Customer Care, along with the device you are using and which account you believe was linked. Gameloft provides the menu path in its Player ID instructions. Providing an ID helps identify your game profile; Gameloft does not promise that an ID alone will restore lost progress.
