Barry’s scavenger hunt leads to a key on a television in the RPD’s ground-floor Operations Room. Pick it up by climbing the pallets beside the chalkboard, then use it on the locked locker in the West Office to collect the reward.
How to solve Barry’s scavenger hunt
- Inspect Barry’s photos. In the S.T.A.R.S. Office, examine both photographs he left. They point to the target location, and the note on the back reads, “You kids have fun solving this one.”
- Reach the Operations Room. Return to the Main Hall, enter the West Office, and go through its back door into the ground-floor Operations Room on the west side of the RPD.
- Take the key from the TV. In the Operations Room, find the wooden pallets or crates near the chalkboard. Climb onto them and look toward the TV mounted in a hanging box; the locker key is resting on its edge.
- Unlock the West Office locker. Return through the back door to the West Office and use the key on the locked locker at the back of the room.
- Collect and inspect the reward. Take the S.T.A.R.S. weapon charm and Barry’s zoo tickets. Turn over or inspect the tickets to read Barry’s message.
What is in the locker?
The locker contains Barry’s zoo tickets and a S.T.A.R.S. weapon charm. The item’s name is described slightly differently across walkthroughs; use the label shown in your game. PC Gamer describes the charm as boosting firepower for automatic weapons while increasing aiming sway, so it trades handling stability for damage.
Why the photos point to the Operations Room
The photos Barry leaves in the S.T.A.R.S. Office depict the location where he hid the key. The clue is a place-finding puzzle, not a code: follow the route through the West Office into the Operations Room, then look above the nearby pallets toward the TV. Both the key’s hiding place and the locker are reached within this West Office–Operations Room route.
