Saber Interactive currently lists it as out now and estimates a typical playthrough at roughly 8–12 hours. That relatively compact length does not make supplies or exploration unimportant: a first run can be much longer if you search for optional items, experiment with encounters, or replay a chase.

How does the Genesis Configuration work?
The Genesis Configuration is both a supernatural weapon and a puzzle device. Its named abilities include telekinesis, pyrokinesis, and Hell Chains; it can also manipulate objects, affect the environment, and open supernatural locks, according to Saber’s official game page.
Those powers serve different purposes. Telekinesis can make an apparently unreachable object part of a route or puzzle. Pyrokinesis is tied to manipulating fire and environmental fixtures. Hell Chains are an offensive or supernatural interaction rather than a replacement for every firearm or melee attack. The game’s design repeatedly asks you to notice which box function fits the situation instead of treating the Configuration as a universal answer button.
Do not assume every ability is available as soon as you encounter an obstacle. Access is progression-gated, so use the interaction taught by the current tutorial or objective. If the expected prompt is missing, the ability may not yet be unlocked rather than the game being stuck. Recheck the objective, look for another route, and return only when the story has granted the relevant power.
The prologue’s first box interaction teaches environmental manipulation, including moving fire between pillars and shifting blocks. That sequence is distinct from the later locks where you match a two-sided shape to a silhouette. Recognizing which kind of interaction you are facing prevents you from applying the lock puzzle’s solution method to an environmental tutorial, or vice versa.
How do I solve the Genesis Configuration puzzles?
For the five mandatory box-lock puzzles, configure each half independently, rotate it, and compare the assembled shape with the hollow target. Both the shape and its orientation matter: a correct outline turned the wrong way will not fit. This method is consistent across the five story gates described in the PowerPyx walkthrough.
- Look at the target slot and note the overall silhouette you need to reproduce.
- Adjust one half of the Configuration at a time. Avoid changing both halves together, so you can tell which adjustment affects the outline.
- Rotate the adjusted half and compare its contribution with the target.
- Repeat with the other half, then check the combined outline and its orientation.

The hollow target is the authority; an individual half can look correct while the combined silhouette is mirrored or rotated incorrectly. How do I survive chases and combat encounters?
Not every encounter is a conventional fight. Chatterer and other pursuit sequences are survival sections, and having weapons does not mean you can defeat or stop every pursuer. The walkthrough reports repeated chases; it is safer to focus on movement and route choice than to spend ammunition trying to force them into normal combat.

What should I do during a chase?
- Keep moving and choose open paths where you can see a way forward.
- Treat obstacles as navigation problems: look for a route around or through them rather than stopping to fight.
- Do not waste ammunition on the assumption that every pursuer can be handled like an ordinary enemy.
- When possible, make a manual save before starting a named chase, especially on a completion-focused run.
Chases reward composure more than perfect combat execution. Read the space ahead, commit to the visible route, and avoid backing yourself into a dead end while trying to line up a shot. If you fail, use the retry to learn the path rather than spending the next attempt firing at an enemy the sequence expects you to evade.

When is stealth better than melee?
Use stealth takedowns when the space permits, particularly against cultists and Unworthy enemies. The walkthrough recommends this approach because ordinary melee weapons can break, while the knife used for stealth kills does not have the same durability concern. Stealth can therefore preserve a limited-use weapon for situations where you cannot approach unseen.
Before entering a guarded room, look for a route that lets you separate targets or approach from behind. A quiet takedown is not merely a damage option: it is a way to protect durability and ammunition for the next forced encounter. If the room gives you no safe angle, do not linger indefinitely; move to the weapon or resource that the encounter actually requires.
How do I deal with Unworthy enemies?
Some Unworthy enemies enter a flashing or staggered state after taking enough damage. Watch for that change: it is the cue to use the Genesis Configuration interaction rather than continuing to spend ammunition. The practical rhythm is to damage the target, notice the state change, and finish with the box when the opportunity appears.
Continuing to shoot after the cue wastes resources and can leave you exposed while the enemy recovers. Learn the visual state during an early encounter, then apply the same timing whenever the game presents it again.

There is no single first craft established as best for every player or encounter. Instead, make crafting decisions around what you need to carry forward: healing and repair are priorities identified in the walkthrough, while limited inventory space means that every item competes with something else.
Before crafting, consider whether the next section is likely to demand survival supplies or a functioning melee weapon. Repair materials matter because melee weapons can break; healing matters because encounters and chases can cost health. Keep the immediate need in mind rather than spending materials simply because a recipe is available.

The walkthrough reports 12 crafting recipes across the game. That is a completion target, not a reason to collect or craft everything on a first run if doing so distracts from getting through the next encounter.
Inventory management is also a planning tool. If you are healthy and your current weapon is reliable, carrying a repair component or spare ammunition may be more useful than immediately converting every material into a consumable. Conversely, entering a major pursuit with no healing or a nearly broken melee weapon creates avoidable risk. Are weapons, recipes, and collectibles missable?
