Select the Ancient Doll, then interact with the lava pool on either floor 100 of the Mines or in the Volcano Caldera. The pool gives you a Far Away Stone. On keyboard and mouse, the Stardew Valley Wiki specifies right-clicking while holding the doll; dragging it out of your inventory is not the documented method.
How to get the Far Away Stone

On a controller or touch device, select the doll and use that platform’s interaction control; a specific button or gesture is not established by the cited instructions.

What the Far Away Stone does
Take the Far Away Stone to the plant pedestal in the Wizard’s Tower basement and interact with it. This opens a portal and leads to Meowmere, a cross-game Easter egg connected to Terraria. Should you use your Ancient Doll?
If it is your only copy, consider its other uses before taking it to the lava. The Ancient Doll can be donated to the Museum, used at a Sewing Machine to make the Doll Shirt, used as blue dye, or included as an option in the remixed Children’s Bundle.
