To stop trigger resistance in Battlefield 6, change your controller settings outside the game: on PS5, open Settings > Accessibility > Controllers and set Trigger Effect Intensity to Off. EA’s instructions also use platform or controller settings for Steam on PC and Xbox, rather than a Battlefield-only switch.
Turn off trigger effects on PS5
- Open Settings on the PS5 home screen.
- Go to Accessibility > Controllers.
- Choose Trigger Effect Intensity and select Off, if that option is available.
EA’s Battlefield 6 controller guide directs PlayStation players to the console’s system settings. It does not specify a particular intensity value beyond turning the effect off.

Turn off controller effects on Steam or Xbox
Steam on PC
- Connect your controller to the PC.
- In Steam, open Settings > Controller.
- Turn off Game Rumble.
This is EA’s Steam route for disabling the controller effects; it is not a Battlefield-specific setting.
Xbox
- Open Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories.
- Select the controller you want to configure.
- Select the edit icon, then turn off vibration.

Know what the setting changes
These settings affect other games as well as Battlefield 6. If you want haptic triggers, rumble, or vibration in other games, return to the same setting afterward and restore your preferred level. EA’s guide does not describe a Battlefield-only control for these effects.
