To stop Battlefield 6 from reading menu options aloud, open Settings > Accessibility and switch Menu Narration off. If speech continues only when multiplayer text chat arrives, that is a separate text-to-speech feature.
Turn off menu narration
- Open Settings in Battlefield 6.
- Select Accessibility.
- Find Menu Narration and toggle it Off.
EA lists this route in its Battlefield 6 PC and controller settings guide. The guide does not specify different steps by platform.

If the game still speaks
Menu Narration covers spoken menu content. EA describes incoming multiplayer text-to-speech as a separate option: it reads incoming text chat aloud. If the voice occurs only when chat messages arrive, look for that separate incoming-chat text-to-speech setting rather than changing Menu Narration again.

It is distinct from text-to-speech and does not read menu options aloud. See EA’s Battlefield 6 Accessibility Resources for its descriptions of these features.

EA says Basic Menu Narration can be toggled on or off and is presented during the initial boot flow. Its accessibility resource does not explain why narration is enabled on a particular installation.
