If you can’t access that account, go to Activision Support Options and select “I can’t unlink an account.” Support may not be able to change account details, so a successful unlink is not guaranteed.
First, identify which account is the problem
There are two different situations, and Activision provides different routes for them:

- Your PSN account is linked to an Activision account you don’t own or can’t access: use Support Options and choose “I can’t unlink an account.”
- An unknown PSN or other platform account was added to your own Activision account: treat this as a possible account compromise and use Activision’s hacked-account guidance.
Describe the situation accurately. The hacked-account recovery process is for compromised Activision accounts; Activision says requests unrelated to hacked accounts may be closed. See its hacked-account recovery guidance.
If you can sign in to the Activision account holding the link
Use the regular unlink process only if you can access the Activision account that currently has your PSN account linked.

- Redeem for anything on PlayStationStore: games, add-ons, PlayStationPlus and more.
- Everything you want to play. Choose from the largest library of PlayStation content.
- Use gift card funds to contribute towards PlayStationPlus memberships.
- Sign in to the Activision account that holds the PSN link.
- Open the account’s linked accounts or account linking section.
- Select UNLINK beside PlayStation, then confirm and follow the prompts.
Activision’s account-management instructions say an individual platform account can be unlinked once every 12 months. An active enforcement action may restrict account changes, and Activision may deny an unlink request if it detects suspicious login or unlinking attempts.
If you can’t access the Activision account
- Open Activision Support Options.
- Select the issue “I can’t unlink an account.” The support page asks you to log in to view recommended options.
- Explain that you own the PSN account but cannot access the Activision account it is linked to. Include relevant account details requested by the support flow, and do not describe the issue as a hack unless your own Activision account was actually compromised.
Activision cautions in its account-management guidance: “Due to privacy and security concerns, Activision Support may be unable to change account details.” That is not a promise that support will detach the PSN account in a particular case.

If an unknown account was linked to your own Activision profile
If you still have access to your own Activision account and see an unfamiliar platform account linked to it, Activision advises signing in, unlinking the unfamiliar account, and changing your Activision password. If suspicious activity continues, use the hacked-account recovery flow.
For a suspected compromise, Activision also recommends changing your Activision password, unlinking linked accounts, changing the passwords for those unlinked accounts, and then relinking your own accounts. Its security guidance is available at Keeping Your Activision Account Secure.

What happens to game progress and content?
For games with cross-progression, progression is stored on the Activision account, not on the platform account. Linking your PSN account to a different Activision account may therefore mean your progress does not appear there. Activision says progress and content are not lost; relink the PSN account to the original Activision account to access them again.
Because of that, avoid linking the PSN account to another Activision account as a workaround if your goal is to recover existing progress. The account where that progress was earned is the one that matters.
