What Shadowstep does
The App Store version notes describe Shadowstep as making Po disappear in a puff of smoke so he can run up the pitch invisible to opponents, or rush up behind them to surprise them. That is the published effect description; it is not a guarantee that a run will evade every opponent or succeed in every match situation.
In practical terms, the stated purpose is a concealed approach or forward run. Use the ability when that kind of movement could help Po advance or catch a defender off guard. The published description does not specify the ability’s duration, range, cooldown, or how opponents can respond, so those details should be learned from the live game rather than assumed.

How to activate Shadowstep
The published notes do not identify Shadowstep’s button, screen location, or activation sequence. Once Po is unlocked and your player is at Level 2, check his in-game ability prompt or control information during a match. Follow the displayed control for Shadowstep; do not assume that its button matches an ability in another football game.
- Open the Kung Fu Panda season pass and inspect Po’s locked or unlocked reward entry.
- Use the game’s information for a locked item to check its current unlock requirement.
- Unlock Po through the route shown in your live game.
- Reach Player Level 2, the level at which the published notes say abilities unlock.
- In a match, check Po’s displayed ability control and use it to trigger Shadowstep.
- Observe how the effect behaves in your match, since published notes do not give its timing or other detailed mechanics.
What is—and is not—confirmed
The App Store version notes identify the season pass and Shadowstep, while the Google Play listing describes the game as a 5v5 mobile game with character abilities, player leveling, and season passes that may reward heroes. Google Play listed September 8, 2026, as the app’s update date when checked on October 13, 2026. FIFA’s October 2, 2025 announcement provides background on the game’s licensed-character format, but not Po’s unlock route.
