Ice Skating” side story, skating once at the nearby rink, then speaking to Harry again to receive the home rink-floor construction permit. The event ended on March 14, 2026, and available guides do not confirm whether new players can still start that quest now.
Unlock ice skating during the Snow Season event
The detailed quest sequence comes from the Japanese player wiki Gamerch, updated March 22, 2026. Its instructions describe the event-era unlock; the exact English wording of dialogue options may vary by localization.
- Reach Pioneer Level 7. Gamerch reports this as the initial level requirement.
- Find Harry and accept “Surfing? Ice Skating.” Choose the option translated in the guide as “I’ll do it” to begin the side story.
- Go to the nearby rink and start skating. Select the option to begin ice skating.
- Leave the rink and speak to Harry again. The guide says he then gives you the rink-floor construction permit, completing the quest and allowing you to build a rink at home.
These are steps for the event quest as reported in the Gamerch Heartopia guide; they do not establish that the quest remains available after the event.
Can new players still unlock skating after the event?
That remains unverified. Heartopia.Life dates Winter Frost Season to January 24–March 14, 2026, and describes skating as a permanent hobby once unlocked. That means an existing unlock is described as lasting; it does not show that a new player can begin the seasonal unlock afterward. The Winter Frost guide and Heartopia.guide’s event guide cover the seasonal rink and home flooring, but neither resolves post-event access.

If you missed Winter Frost, check the in-game Dreams menu and current quest or event listings for an active skating quest. If Harry’s side story is not offered, the available guides do not provide a confirmed alternative route to the hobby or home rink floor.
Ice skating, the home rink floor, and Dream Challenge are different things
The reported level 7 requirement is for the basic event-era skating unlock. Gamerch reports level 16 as the threshold for the Dream Challenge, a separate timed score activity—not as a requirement to unlock skating.

The guide describes the Dream Challenge as a 90-second run with a target score, two new chances per day, and up to 10 stored attempts. These are unofficial guide-reported mechanics and may change with game updates.

Player guides place the public rink in the Onsen Mountains area. Enter it, switch to Skating Mode, and use the action buttons to perform moves. Dream goals provide progression and can unlock moves or items. In Challenge Mode, guides recommend timing actions, building combos, and mixing moves to improve the score; challenge details may change between patches.
