That level threshold is reported by a September 2026 guide, but Sloclap’s official updates reviewed here do not confirm the exact unlock steps; the game’s current Ranked screen is the best guide to the requirement. The reported ladder has seven leagues, each with three divisions, and players can now be demoted between leagues.
How to unlock Ranked in Rematch
- Play Quick Play until you reach Profile Level 5. Operation Sports reported this as the unlock threshold in its guide published September 24, 2026. Sloclap’s official updates do not confirm that specific level requirement, so treat it as a current secondary-source report rather than a guaranteed rule.
- Open Ranked and complete the placement requirement shown in game. The current guide says a placement requirement follows the level gate, but does not establish a fixed number of matches. Follow the counter or instructions in your game rather than relying on an older match count.
A June 2025 PC Gamer guide described five placement games, but that count predates major ranking changes and is not confirmed as the current requirement. Ranked queues can also change by season: Sloclap announced competitive 3v3 Ranked for Season 1, but that announcement does not establish which queues are live now. Check the current Ranked menu for available modes.

All reported Rematch ranks and divisions
The current ladder reported by Operation Sports runs from Bronze to Elite. Each league has three divisions, moving from Division 3 up through Division 1; reaching Division 1 is the step toward promotion. Elite Division 1 is the reported top of the ladder.

Master was added between Diamond and Elite after launch, according to the current secondary guide. Sloclap’s official material cited here does not provide a single authoritative list of every current league and division. Promotion requirements should be read in game; a specific RP threshold or automatic promotion rule is not established by the sources here.

How rank points, hidden MMR, and matchmaking work
Your visible league and division are a progression ladder, while Sloclap says matchmaking uses OpenSkill as its skill-rating basis to bring the average skill of the two teams close. Visible rank is not directly used to select players and create teams, so do not assume every match will contain only players from your league.
Sloclap’s October 2025 ranking update says dynamic ranking adjusts normal RP gains or losses based on your hidden MMR compared with the MMR expected for your visible rank. The adjustment is based on your own rating relative to that expectation, not the opponents’ ranks or MMR. For example, if your hidden rating is above the expected level for your visible rank, a win can earn more RP and a loss can cost less.

When Sloclap introduced this adjustment, it said the change would be capped at three points per game. That is an introduction-era figure, not a guarantee that a later patch left the cap unchanged.

Can you be demoted in Rematch?
Yes. Sloclap’s October 2025 ranking update describes cross-league demotion protection for players who reach 0 RP in Division 3, the bottom division of a league:

- At 0 RP in Division 3, you enter Risk of Demotion and use your first shield.
- You have two shields. Each further loss at 0 RP consumes another shield.
- After both shields are gone, you enter Last Chance; the next loss demotes you to the lower league.
- A win while in Risk of Demotion removes you from that state, awards the RP for the win, and restores one shield.
This replaced the earlier launch-era rule that players could not drop an entire league. A July 2025 update said cross-league demotion was not then possible; the later Patch 5 update added it. Old guides that describe the earlier rule should not be treated as current.

- League lists: Launch-era lists may omit Master, which the current secondary guide says was added between Diamond and Elite.
- Placement counts: The older five-match figure is not verified as the current placement requirement.
- Ranked modes: Season 1’s 3v3 announcement is season-specific, not proof of which queues are currently available.
- Demotion rules: The later official update added league demotions, so the former no-demotion description is historical.
