How to start the All Byte quest
- Travel to the Nahant Oceanological Society.
- Search the building for Karishma’s research logs and pick them up. This starts All Byte.
Cyber Dog is Fallout 4 Creations content, not a standard base-game companion. Bethesda describes it as “Half dog, half machine, part bark and all byte, the Cyberdog is the ultimate in good boy technology.” Bethesda’s Cyber Dog description also says the companion can be programmed to respond to over a hundred names; that figure is promotional product copy.

How to reach and free the Cyber Dog
- Follow the quest objective to unlock the safe and take the boat key.
- Use the boat to travel to the Nahant junkyard.
- Free the cyberdog there to complete the central acquisition objective.
The location and quest sequence are described in the Fallout Wiki’s All Byte walkthrough. Bethesda’s listing confirms the Creation’s content and description, but does not provide this step-by-step route.
Cyber Dog is not an Automatron unlock
Cyber Dog and Automatron are separate Fallout 4 content. Automatron is an add-on about robots; Bethesda Support says it requires a character at least level 15 and access to a settlement, then makes the “Mechanical Menace” quest and “Caravan Distress Frequency” available. Those are Automatron requirements, not established prerequisites for All Byte or Cyber Dog.

Who can access the Cyber Dog Creation?
Bethesda lists Cyber Dog among the Creation Club content included with Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition. The Creation is also listed in Bethesda’s Creations catalog. Check the content available for your game and platform if you do not see the quest; the sources do not establish identical access or requirements across every edition and platform.
