Complete the level 100 Dawntrail role quest Imposing Views to unlock the emote officially named Pose Of The Unbound. Its quest giver is in Ul’dah – Steps of Thal at X:12.3, Y:11.3. You must first clear the Dawntrail role-quest prerequisites to access it.
Where to get Pose Of The Unbound
Find the quest giver in Ul’dah – Steps of Thal, X:12.3, Y:11.3, and accept Imposing Views. The Square Enix Eorzea Database listing identifies it as a level 100 Dawntrail Role Quest and lists Pose Of The Unbound as its completion reward. A January 2025 guide calls the giver the Unbound Agent and gives nearby coordinates of X:12.5, Y:11.5; use the official database coordinates as your destination.
Prerequisites for Imposing Views
The quest is gated behind the Dawntrail role-quest progression. According to a January 22, 2025 The Escapist guide, complete all five Dawntrail role questlines—tank, healer, melee DPS, physical ranged DPS, and magical ranged DPS—then complete Picking Up the Torch to unlock Imposing Views. That means having level 100 jobs for each of those five roles and finishing the associated questline for each.
The Lodestone entry confirms a prior Dawntrail role-quest prerequisite but does not spell out the full chain in its displayed listing; the five-role sequence above comes from The Escapist’s guide.

Complete the quest and claim the emote
Start Imposing Views with the quest giver in Ul’dah, then follow its objectives. The Escapist describes the quest as sending players to the Sagolii Desert, where they speak with Apyaahi and take part in combat encounters. Completing the quest grants Pose Of The Unbound.

Once it is unlocked, enter /unbound or /poseoftheunbound in chat to play the animation. “JoJo emote” is a common descriptive shorthand for its JoJo-inspired pose; it is not the official in-game name or an official Square Enix description of the animation’s inspiration.
