Choose the token that matches what you want to progress: Level XP for your player level, Weapon XP for weapon leveling, or Battle Pass XP for Battle Pass progression. The current official sources confirm those token types and some progression modes, but do not document the exact activation menu or when its timer starts. Use the prompt shown in your current game rather than relying on unverified button-by-button instructions.
Choose the right Double XP token
Black Ops 7’s Season 06 announcement distinguishes three token categories. They boost different progression tracks, so check the token’s name before activating it.

The categories are listed in Call of Duty’s Season 06: The Haunting announcement. The official material does not establish that every token category works in every mode.
Activate a token using the current in-game prompt
The official pages cited here do not specify a current menu path, control, or timer rule for activation. Open the token inventory or XP-token interface available in your game and follow its on-screen prompt; check the token category and duration shown before confirming. Do not assume when the timer begins or whether it pauses between matches unless the game itself states that behavior.

Where you can earn Level XP
The official Black Ops 7 site lists Multiplayer, Co-Op Campaign, Zombies, Dead Ops Arcade 4, and Warzone as modes where players gain Level XP. This is a general Level XP statement, not confirmation that Weapon XP or Battle Pass XP tokens apply identically in all five modes.
Weapon XP and older mode guidance
Call of Duty’s launch-era progression and Prestige guide describes Double Weapon XP tokens as a way to shorten weapon leveling and discusses weapon progression in Campaign, Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. Because that guidance predates the current Season 06 reward notice, treat it as background rather than a guarantee of current eligibility. Check the in-game token details for the mode you plan to play.

Get the official email-verification token reward
Call of Duty’s September 2026 Season 06 announcement says verifying an account email awards five one-hour Level XP tokens, five one-hour Weapon XP tokens, and five one-hour Battle Pass XP tokens. It says players who had verified their email previously had the rewards added automatically. The same reward announcement includes the universal “Veiled Aurora” weapon camo; the camo is a separate cosmetic reward, not an XP token.

An August 2025 Call of Duty community update said Double XP tokens carry forward into Black Ops 7. That historical statement does not establish that every token type or every account inventory is currently compatible. Confirm that a token appears in your Black Ops 7 inventory before planning around it.
