To upload a custom image for NBA 2K25, use the official NBA 2K Image Uploader on nba2k.com: connect the platform and account you play on, choose an image category, and select a JPG or PNG file smaller than 1 MB. The upload must pass manual approval before it appears in-game.
The uploader instructions were published by NBA 2K Support in August 2026 and describe the NBA 2K uploader generally, not a guide specifically labeled for NBA 2K25. Platform-sharing behavior can therefore vary by game and platform; follow the account prompts for your setup.

Upload a custom image step by step
- Start NBA 2K and connect to the internet. Accept the game’s Terms of Service if prompted. NBA 2K Support suggests checking the system’s internet connection or whether multiplayer and community-creation downloads are accessible.
- Open the uploader. In a browser, go to nba2k.com, or scan the QR code displayed in-game to reach the site. Select the image-uploader option for the game.
- Connect the account you use to play. Follow the prompts to link the relevant platform and account. Make sure you select the same platform/account you use for NBA 2K.
- Choose an image category and file. Select the image type from the options on the left, then choose the corresponding file on your device. The official instructions accept JPG and PNG files smaller than 1 MB; they do not specify pixel dimensions.
- Wait for approval. Uploaded images are manually reviewed before appearing in-game. NBA 2K Support does not state how long review takes.
File requirements and platform notes
- Format: JPG or PNG.
- File size: Less than 1 MB, according to NBA 2K Support’s August 2026 instructions.
- Dimensions: No pixel dimensions are specified in those instructions.
- Platform sharing: The current general uploader article says PlayStation and Xbox images are shared between platforms, while Steam and Switch 2 sharing is limited to the user’s own platform. This is not an NBA 2K25-specific compatibility chart, so do not assume every platform/version combination behaves identically.
Custom images are not face scans
The image uploader is for custom content used in modes such as MyTEAM, MyNBA, and Crews. A face scan follows a separate process: NBA 2K Support says to use the NBA 2K HQ app, connect the MyPLAYER account to both NBA 2K and NBA 2K HQ, choose Face Scan in the app, then apply the scan through the MyPLAYER appearance options in-game. For a custom logo or other image, use the web uploader instead.

Fix common upload problems
The uploader will not open or connect
- Confirm the console or PC is online and that you accepted the game’s Terms of Service if asked.
- Try reaching the uploader from a different browser, or open it in an incognito/private window.
- Reconnect the platform/account used to play NBA 2K if the site shows the wrong account.
The file is rejected
Check that the file is a JPG or PNG and is under 1 MB. The official instructions do not publish a required image resolution, so they do not provide a pixel-size limit to troubleshoot against.
The image was uploaded but is not visible in-game
First try another browser or an incognito/private window. Also allow for manual review: NBA 2K Support requires approval before an image appears, but gives no review-time estimate.

Choose images you have permission to use
The NBA 2K25 online manual for PS5 makes players responsible for their user-generated content and describes rights granted to Take-Two for use through its services. Upload images you have permission to use, and consult the current Code of Conduct for the applicable rules.
