To craft a high-tier weapon from a blueprint in Modern Warfare 4 DMZ, reach DMZ Level 10, unlock the Gunsmith station in the Forward Operating Base (FOB), open the weapon’s Builds menu, select a blueprint you own, and craft it. - Select Builds. The Builds option lists the blueprint configurations available for that weapon.
- Choose your owned blueprint. Confirm the in-game rarity label and the listed crafting cost before accepting.
- Craft it. The first craft is free. The game displays the DMZ Cash price for subsequent crafts; that price differs between blueprints.
- Deploy with the weapon. Move it into your deployment loadout and extract successfully if you want to keep it for later runs.
Call of Duty Staff describes the station this way: “In DMZ, any weapon or Attachment you’ve unlocked or leveled up in Multiplayer or DMZ can be accessed in the Forward Operating Base Gunsmith station and equipped providing you have the DMZ Cash funds to purchase it.” Blueprint crafting follows that same station-based access model.

Which blueprints produce high-tier weapons?
There is no universal rarity attached to all blueprints. Windows Central’s documented example is the Beta Forged Han 86, which crafts once for free as a legendary-tier weapon. Other blueprints may have different rarity labels, attachments, or stat packages, so inspect the blueprint card in the Builds menu rather than assuming that ownership means legendary quality.
What the free craft actually covers
The free allowance applies to the first craft of that blueprint. It is not a permanent free-recraft privilege, and it does not make every weapon in the blueprint category free. After the first creation, the current DMZ Cash price appears in the crafting interface.

Can you modify a crafted blueprint?
Modified Builds can have a different price display from the original blueprint. Infinity Ward’s October 25, 2026 patch notes list a fix for saved Builds made from modified Blueprints that were incorrectly charged the full original Blueprint cost. Update the game and check current patch notes if a modified-build price still looks wrong.
How do blueprints compare with other ways to get weapons?
Blueprints are the predictable, menu-based route once you reach Level 10, but DMZ also supports looting, Weapon Manuals, and the FOB Vendor. Each method has a different balance of access, cost, and extraction risk.

The official weapons guide identifies all four as valid acquisition routes. A blueprint is therefore an option for reliable access to a known configuration, not the only way to obtain powerful equipment.
How can you avoid losing a blueprint weapon?
Treat the crafted weapon like any other valuable deployment item. A secure backpack slot can preserve a selected weapon or gear item when an extraction fails, but the slot does not remove the need to manage inventory and extraction rules. Before deploying, confirm that the weapon is in the protected slot if you intend to use that safeguard; otherwise, a failed run can cost the weapon.
