Build for coverage, roles and energy—not levels. Roco Kingdom’s worldwide competitive battles equalize Jini levels, so a winning team combines complementary Classes, skills that create super-effective windows, and players who can predict Attack, Defense, Status or Rest. Start with a reliable attacker, a defensive pivot, disruption or support, and several flex counters; then spread weaknesses across six slots. The global client is still in closed beta (the Quack Quack Test began 27 October 2026), while the 3D game has been live in mainland China since 26 March 2026. Balance, names and team rankings from China should therefore be treated as regional examples, not confirmed global meta.
What makes Roco Kingdom battles strategic?
Strategic Battles is the combat system described in the Steam listing and the 27 October 2026 combat trailer, not a separate arena game. Battles are turn-based, but both players’ choices resolve simultaneously. Every Jini has a 10-energy pool, and each Skill consumes part of it. Because levels are equalized in PvP, composition, Class matchups, traits and prediction matter more than grinding.

Morefun Studios describes the worldwide game as fair PvP built around an 18-Class counter ecosystem. Its official message is “STRATEGY OVER STATS.” The game is free to play, Jinies are advertised as obtainable through play, and Morefun has said competitive play is not designed around pay-to-win power. Steam still lists in-app purchases, so that statement should not be read as a promise that every cosmetic or shop system is free.
The global build is separate from the Chinese live client, often called Roco Kingdom: World. Narrative Director and Localization Lead Xiaoye told Inven Global that worldwide updates will catch up over time but will not merge with Chinese servers for fairness. A Chinese lineup, damage value or Season 4 usage list is therefore useful for ideas, not a guaranteed answer for the global beta.

How does the energy and rock-paper-scissors system work?
Choose a Skill category while tracking your remaining energy and the opponent’s likely response. Attack interrupts Status, Status negates Defense, and Defense counters Attack. Skills resolve simultaneously, so the strongest button is not automatically the correct move.
| Category | Beats | What to watch |
|---|---|---|
| Attack | Status | Use it when an opponent is likely to buff, heal or apply another effect. |
| Status | Defense | Choose it when the opponent is protecting rather than attacking. |
| Defense | Attack | It can blunt a predictable strike, but loses to Status. |
| Rest | Not a category counter | Rest becomes relevant when either side is nearly out of energy; predicting it creates a tempo swing. |
Xiaoye explains that players must gauge whether an opponent will Rest or defend because activation is simultaneous. In practice, open with moderate-cost Skills rather than emptying the pool on turn one. Save an expensive move for a super-effective Class window, or for the turn you expect Defense or Status. Exact energy costs for every Skill in the global build have not been published.
- Do not spend all 10 energy simply because a high-power Skill is available.
- Track the opponent’s apparent spending; a low-energy Jini may be forced into Rest or a weaker action.
- Pair a Class advantage with the correct category. A 2x hit that is countered by Defense may be worse than a neutral move that preserves your energy plan.
- When both players have low energy, consider what Rest enables next turn rather than chasing immediate damage.
How do the 18 Classes and damage multipliers work?
The official game confirms 18 Classes, but Morefun has not published a complete official global matrix. The chart below is a community reconstruction updated 28 October 2026 from RocoKingdomGame.com, adapted from the Chinese wiki and marked as non-official. Use the in-battle effectiveness indicator as the final authority in the global beta.
| Attacking Skill Class | Super-effective (2x) against | Resisted (0.5x) by |
|---|---|---|
| Common | None listed | Earth, Shadow, Mech |
| Flora | Water, Light, Earth | Fire, Dragon, Poison, Wing, Mech |
| Fire | Flora, Ice, Bug, Mech | Water, Earth, Dragon |
| Water | Fire, Earth, Mech | Flora, Ice, Dragon |
| Light | Shadow, Havoc | Flora, Ice |

| Havoc | Poison, Charm, Shadow | Light, Fighting, Havoc |
| Mech (community name) | Earth, Ice, Charm | Fire, Water, Electro, Mech |
| Stellar (community name) | Poison, Fighting | Light, Mech, Stellar |
Six English Class names are official so far: Common, Flora, Fire, Water, Light and Havoc. Earth, Ice, Dragon, Electro, Poison, Bug, Fighting, Wing, Charm, Shadow, Mech and Stellar are community English names and may change in localization.
What does a dual-Class multiplier do?
Community data reports 2x for one weakness and 0.5x for one resistance. If both defending Classes are weak to the attacking Skill, the result is 3x—not the 4x multiplier familiar from some other creature battlers. If one Class is weak and the other resists, they cancel to 1x; two resistances produce 0.25x. The same data records 102 Class pairs, but the global formula is not confirmed.

Fighting is the broadest offensive Skill Class in the reconstructed chart, hitting Common, Earth, Ice, Havoc and Mech for extra damage. Earth, Ice and Fire are the next high-value coverage choices. Carry at least two of these Skill Classes somewhere in a six-slot roster instead of relying on a single damage type.
How do I counter each enemy Class?
Use the following as a fast lookup, then confirm the game’s effectiveness icon before committing. It tells you which Skill Classes can deal 2x damage; it does not replace the Attack, Defense and Status mind game.
| Enemy Class | Bring these Skill Classes | Practical warning |
|---|---|---|
| Common | Earth, Shadow, Mech | Common has almost no listed super-effective offense; avoid leading it into Mech or Shadow. |
| Flora | Fire, Dragon, Poison, Bug, Wing, Mech | It is a high-count Class, so Fire or Wing coverage is valuable. |
| Fire | Water, Earth, Dragon | Fire punishes Flora, Ice, Bug and Mech in return. |
| Water | Flora, Ice, Dragon | Water is the largest Class in the community census; keep more than one answer available. |
| Light | Flora, Ice | Light is uncommon, making a dedicated counter a specialist choice. |
| Earth | Flora, Fighting | Earth threatens Fire, Ice, Electro and Poison, so do not leave it unchecked. |
| Ice | Fire, Ice, Mech | Ice is a strong anti-Dragon and anti-Wing tool but dislikes Fire and Mech. |
| Dragon | Ice, Mech | Dragon is the smallest listed Class; Mech resists Dragon Skills. |
| Electro | Flora, Earth, Dragon, Electro | Electro is narrow offensively but reliable against Water and Wing. |
| Poison | Earth, Poison, Shadow, Mech | Poison pressures Flora and Charm. |
| Bug | Fire, Poison, Fighting, Wing, Charm, Shadow, Mech | Its many resistances do not make it a dependable primary wall-breaker. |
| Fighting | Poison, Bug, Wing, Charm, Shadow, Stellar | Fighting has the widest listed offense, so avoid stacking Fighting weaknesses. |
| Wing | Earth, Dragon, Electro, Mech | Wing is the second-largest listed Class; Earth and Electro are common answers. |
| Charm | Fire, Poison, Mech | Charm is an anti-Fighting option but is vulnerable to those three Classes. |
| Shadow | Common, Havoc | Common is an unusual but important super-effective answer. |
| Havoc | Light, Fighting, Havoc | Havoc can punish Poison, Charm and Shadow. |
| Mech | Fire, Water, Electro, Mech | Fire and Water together are the cleanest general answer. |
| Stellar | Light, Mech, Stellar | Stellar threatens Poison and Fighting. |
How should I build a six-slot winning team?
Plan for jobs first and Classes second. Early global footage and community builders use six Jini slots, although Morefun has not confirmed that every mode will use six. A balanced draft normally contains one or two attackers, one tank or pivot, one support or disruption Jini, and one or two flex counters.
- Choose a lead attacker. Give it a favorable Class matchup and at least one affordable Skill so it can pressure without exhausting its 10 energy.
- Add a defensive anchor. A tank, healer or pivot buys time for the opponent to reveal Skills. China-client guidance commonly suggests one tank and one or two support/healers.
- Cover your starter’s weaknesses. If your first Jini loses to Fire, Water or Fighting, add a Class or Skill that answers that threat rather than another creature with the same weakness.
- Add broad offensive coverage. Fighting, Earth, Ice and Fire cover many targets in the reconstructed chart. Spread those Skill Classes across different Jini rather than depending on one move being available every turn.
- Reserve flex slots. Use the final places for a counter to the likely opposing core, speed or disruption, and—where available—a traversal or utility Jini.
- Build a second draft. Chinese PvP guides warn that one fixed composition can be hard-countered. Two or three viable teams let you answer a scouted lead without abandoning your core roles.
Do not stack one weakness across three or more slots. A single opposing Fire, Water or Fighting attacker should not be able to click through half your roster at 2x. Switching is shown in test footage, while Chinese-client writeups say a switch consumes the turn; verify the exact global rule in your client before planning a pivot sequence.
Why Skill Class can matter more than a Jini’s own Class
Community Chinese guides emphasize that a Jini’s available Skill Classes can matter more than its native Class. Early English footage shows move customization across Fire, Water, Ice, Grass, Light, Dark and Demon categories. A Jini that appears unfavorable on the chart may still threaten a counter with the right coverage Skill, so inspect the complete move list before dismissing it.

Which starter is best: Sparka, Meevy or Cerulla?
All three are reported as viable in the international build. Choose according to the opening style you prefer, then recruit coverage rather than trying to force the starter to answer every matchup.
| Starter | Class | Best early role | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sparka | Fire | Fast offense; pressures Flora, Ice, Bug and Mech. | Needs answers to Water, Earth and Dragon. |
| Meevy | Grass/Flora | Sustained fights and pressure against Water, Light and Earth. | Fire, Dragon, Poison, Bug, Wing and Mech are listed counters. |
| Cerulla | Water | Durability and a stable opening against Fire, Earth and Mech. | Flora, Ice and Dragon are its listed counters. |
Community reports say an unchosen starter can later appear in friends’ worlds, reducing the risk of permanently missing one. That availability is a player report, not a guaranteed global progression rule, so select the starter whose early role fits your play rather than assuming you can immediately trade for the others.
How should I use Dimo and the Best Friends trait?
Dimo is the signature Light companion, listed officially as No. 001. The official site gives it a height range of 0.54–0.78 metres and a weight range of 5.5–7 kilograms. Community data describes its Best Friends trait as granting a 20% Attack, Defense and Speed boost plus two Energy when Dimo lands a super-effective hit.
That trait rewards correct Class matching, not blind aggression. Place Dimo where it can safely target Light’s listed answers—Shadow and Havoc—while avoiding the Flora and Ice Skills that resist Light. The bonus Energy is most valuable when a super-effective hit lets Dimo continue a pressure sequence or recover from an earlier moderate-cost turn.

What should a PvE player change for equalized PvP?
In story content, levels, upgrades and concentrated training matter more. In equalized PvP, those level advantages are removed, so matchup knowledge, traits, energy and prediction take priority.
| Concern | PvE story | Equalized PvP |
|---|---|---|
| Training | Concentrate resources on one or two mains to progress efficiently. | Raw level grinding cannot create the usual level gap. |
| Team choice | A favorite with enough power can carry many encounters. | Build broad coverage and a second draft for hard counters. |
| Battle plan | Reliable damage and survivability are usually sufficient. | Read Attack, Defense, Status, Rest and remaining Energy. |
| Switching | Use the safest answer for the next encounter. | Switch timing matters; test footage shows switching, and China guides report it costs the turn. |
For PvE, avoid spreading upgrade materials across the entire collection before your main team is functional. For PvP, invest time in learning Skill categories and the effectiveness indicator even if your roster is not fully optimized.

Steam lists the worldwide PC client as Coming soon. The closed beta began at 04:30 UTC on 27 October 2026. The listed minimum PC requirements are 64-bit Windows 10, an Intel Core i5-7500 or AMD Ryzen 5 1400, 16 GB RAM, Easy Anti-Cheat and a Level Infinite PASS. Cross-play is advertised, but cross-save for purchases and progress across Steam, Epic, consoles and mobile is not fully specified, and beta progress carryover has not been confirmed.
What China data can—and cannot—tell global players
The China launch drew more than 15 million players in its first 13 hours, and Tencent figures summarized by Wikipedia reported 30 million registered users within nine days. The worldwide game advertises more than 400 Jinies, while Morefun told Inven Global that roughly 400 species were targeted at launch with about 10–20 hours of quest playtime. IGN presented 212 unique Jinies in the global closed beta; a Chinese fan database lists 468 Jinies, 633 forms, 579 Skills and 246 traits in its live build. Those counts describe different regions, dates and versions.

A Chinese community snapshot from early April 2026 reported an approximately 80% win rate for a Swan sustain archetype among Master-tier players, built around crowd control and healing with Iron Beast, Ice Pig and Fire Dog examples. That is a dated, community-reported China result, not an independent global beta measurement. A separate China Season 4 usage list names Huadie, Bulingbuling, Feifeiyao and Wyvoss near the top, with cores such as Rain Sanctwing, Somraja/Kelisishu Thorns and Pearaisy/Hanyinshe Charm Relay. None should be published as a worldwide best team until the global roster and balance settle.
What are the most common team-building mistakes?
- Over-spending turn one: Emptying the Energy pool leaves you predictable and vulnerable to a Rest tempo swing.
- Building around one Class: A single Fire, Water or Fighting answer can collapse a stacked roster.
- Ignoring Skills: Native Jini Class is only part of the threat; coverage Skills can change the matchup.
- Calling the community chart official: Names and multipliers outside the six official English Classes remain localization and balance risks.
- Copying China’s meta: Chinese Season 4 teams, balance and roster availability do not establish the global CBT meta.
- Training everything equally in PvE: Concentrate early resources on one or two mains, then expand once progression is stable.
- Assuming a fixed six is universal: Six-slot builders appear in footage and community tools, but Morefun has not confirmed every mode uses six.
How to capture the Jinies your plan requires
Buddy Pods affect which Classes you can realistically add. IGN’s developer-presented examples include Solar Pods for Flora and Light, Net Pods for Water and Wing, and Prism Pods for a Prismatic gradient. Xiaoye also described a standard purple Pod, class-specialized Pods and a Prison Pod for luminous random-color cosmetics. These are in-game capture and customization items, not physical products.
Check the Pod requirement before committing to a counter plan. A theoretically perfect answer is not useful if the needed Jini or capture item is unavailable in your current progression.
What remains unconfirmed in the global build?
- Morefun or Level Infinite has not published a complete official 18-Class matrix for worldwide play.
- The final global damage formula, including the community 2x, 3x, 0.5x and 0.25x interactions, is not locked publicly.
- No transferable global best team or finalized worldwide tier list exists.
- Exact energy costs for each Skill and whether every mode uses six team slots are unknown.
- China Season 4 lineups and English Class names may not match the beta roster.
- The worldwide release date remains unannounced; Steam says Coming soon.
- Beta progress carryover and full cross-save are unconfirmed.
Until those details are published, treat the in-battle effectiveness marker, the current Skill tooltips and the rules shown in your client as higher-priority evidence than a translated chart or an old China guide.

Does Roco Kingdom have pay-to-win PvP?
Morefun has said Jinies are obtainable through play and that competitive mode does not use pay-to-win mechanics. Steam nevertheless lists in-app purchases, and the complete shop catalog has not been published, so the statement should be understood as a competitive-design position rather than a detailed monetization guarantee.
How many Jinies are available in Roco Kingdom?
The global Steam listing advertises more than 400 unique Jinies, while Morefun described about 400 species around launch. IGN presented 212 in the closed beta, and a Chinese live-build fan database counts 468 Jinies plus alternate forms; these figures refer to different versions and dates.
