Hush is VALORANT’s newly revealed Duelist, but Riot has not yet published a complete technical sheet. The reported kit is Flow, Flashbulb, Displacement, Suspension, and the Telekinesis passive. Flow uses an anchor for movement, Flashbulb is a steerable flash, Displacement pulls players toward a detonation point and may concuss them on collision, and Suspension lifts targets caught in its area.
Exact cooldowns, costs, ranges, durations, damage values and ultimate-point requirements remain unconfirmed. The explanations below separate reported behavior from facts that still require live-client testing.

Hush’s reported kit at a glance
| Ability | Slot | Reported function | What is still unknown |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flow | C | Places an anchor and propels Hush toward it; airborne use is reported to support a hover or continued movement effect. | Anchor range, delay, restrictions and exact movement timing. |
| Flashbulb | Q | Guided, reactivatable flash that can be thrown immediately or steered before detonation. | Blind duration, charge count, cooldown and precise steering rules. |
| Displacement | E | Guided detonation that pulls players inward; a collision with a surface or another player may cause concussion. | Pull strength, radius, concussion duration and whether the reported kill refresh works exactly as described. |
| Suspension | X | Orb that can be detonated to lift players caught in its area; lifted players are reported to be unable to fire. | Ultimate-point cost, radius, lift duration and complete escape rules. |
| Telekinesis | Passive | Allows limited long-range interaction with selected objects such as dropped weapons, the Spike or map switches. | Interaction range, line-of-sight requirements and object restrictions. |
“Reported” is important here. The official announcement establishes Hush’s reveal, while detailed mechanics come from early guides and footage summaries. Those details can change or prove incomplete when the playable client is available.

What Hush is designed to do
Hush appears to combine entry movement, information-disrupting utility and crowd control rather than relying on a single instant-damage tool. Her movement is setup-dependent: Flow asks you to decide where an anchor should be before committing. Her flash and pull are not simple point-and-click throws; both are reported to use a guide-and-reactivate pattern. That gives Hush more control around corners, but it also occupies her attention while she steers.

The result is a Duelist whose value depends heavily on geometry and timing. A good anchor creates an unexpected landing or an escape route. A well-placed Displacement can compress opponents against a wall or one another. A poorly timed activation can leave Hush looking at her utility while an opponent swings her.
Flow (C): anchor-based movement
How Flow reportedly works
Flow places an anchor and propels Hush toward that location. The anchor, rather than raw travel speed, is the central decision: it determines where Hush arrives and what angles she can challenge next. Guides also describe airborne use as enabling a hover or continued movement effect. Until the client confirms the exact behavior, treat that aerial component as provisional.
Why the landing point matters
Flow should be planned around landing geometry. An anchor behind cover can give Hush a route out after an entry attempt; an anchor on an exposed ledge can make the destination obvious and easy to pre-aim. Before placing it, check which enemy sightlines cover the endpoint, whether teammates can trade the arrival, and whether the anchor can be destroyed, blocked or otherwise denied under the final rules.

Movement that is readable is less valuable than movement that is fast. If opponents see the anchor or learn your preferred locations, they can hold the destination instead of fighting Hush’s starting position. Varying anchors between rounds and using them to change elevation or break a predictable angle should matter more than simply activating Flow whenever it is available.
Flashbulb (Q): a steerable, reactivatable flash
Control pattern
Flashbulb is reported to support two modes. Hush can throw it immediately, or she can ready the projectile, steer it toward the crosshair and reactivate it to detonate. The guided mode is useful for bending a flash around a corner or delaying the timing until a teammate is ready to swing.
The timing trade-off
Steering is also a vulnerability. While Hush is guiding Flashbulb, her crosshair is committed to utility rather than a weapon. Enemies who recognize the setup can break line of sight, swing during the steering window or force Hush to detonate at an awkward angle. A fast, conventional throw may therefore be stronger than a carefully guided flash when the fight is already starting.

How opponents should react
Do not watch Hush herself to judge the flash. Break line of sight, turn away or move behind cover as soon as the projectile path and timing make a detonation likely. If the final angle is wrong, the flash can lose most of its value; Hush still has to spend the utility and recover control of her weapon.

Displacement (E): pull, collision and the reported refresh
Pull mechanics
Displacement reportedly uses the same throw, guide and reactivate pattern as Flashbulb. On detonation, it pulls players toward the center. The pull is a relocation effect first: it can remove a defender from cover, bunch a team for allied utility or drag a target into a different line of fire.
When the pull can concuss
The distinctive edge case is collision. A target may be concussed when the pull causes that player to hit a wall, another surface or another player. The extra effect is therefore dependent on the environment and on how tightly opponents are grouped. A player standing in open space with room to slide may be displaced without suffering the same consequence.
Reported kill refresh
Early guide material reports that Displacement refreshes after every two kills. This condition and its timing are not yet authoritative. Until Riot or repeatable live testing confirms it, treat the refresh as a reported resource rule rather than a guaranteed way to chain pulls through a round.
Using Displacement with a team
A pull is strongest when an ally is ready to punish the new position. A teammate can hold the collision point, prepare area damage or swing as soon as the target loses cover. Without that follow-up, Displacement may merely move an opponent into another safe angle. The ability should create a timing advantage, not be described as an automatic kill.
Suspension (X): lifting targets with the ultimate
Reported behavior
Suspension is described as Hush’s ultimate. An orb travels toward the crosshair and can be detonated to lift players caught in its area. Footage and guide summaries indicate that lifted players cannot fire during the effect, but the complete rules are not established by official technical documentation.

What determines its value
Suspension is a spacing and timing tool rather than confirmed direct damage. Its impact depends on how many players are inside the area, whether they have a route to escape before detonation and whether Hush’s team is positioned to convert the firing restriction into damage. A single isolated lift may buy time; a multi-player lift can decide a site fight if allies are ready.
Why the ultimate needs discipline
Do not spend Suspension merely because one enemy is visible. The orb’s travel, detonation timing and area coverage all matter. Wait for a moment when opponents are committed to a plant, a narrow choke or a coordinated swing, unless using it defensively to stop an immediate conversion.
Telekinesis: the passive interaction tool
Telekinesis is reported to let Hush interact with selected objects from limited long range. Examples in the available descriptions include dropped weapons, the Spike and map switches. This could let her retrieve an item without exposing herself or trigger an interaction while holding a safer angle.

Until those cases are tested, assume that line of sight, distance and object type may limit the passive.
Cooldowns, costs and other numbers
No authoritative numeric table is currently available. Publishing a precise value as fact would turn an early report into misinformation. The unresolved values are:
| Value | Current status | Why it matters in play |
|---|---|---|
| Ability costs and charges | Not stated authoritatively. | Determines whether Hush can hold utility for a retake or spend it every engagement. |
| Flow range, delay and movement timing | Not confirmed. | Defines whether anchors are reliable escapes, aggressive entries or both. |
| Flashbulb blind duration | Not confirmed. | Controls how long a teammate has to swing after detonation. |
| Displacement radius and pull strength | Not confirmed. | Determines which players are affected and whether collision setups are practical. |
| Displacement concussion duration | Not confirmed. | Sets the punish window after a wall or player collision. |
| Displacement kill refresh | Reported after every two kills, pending confirmation. | Changes whether Hush can reuse crowd control during a long round. |
| Suspension radius, lift duration and ultimate cost | Not confirmed. | Determines the ultimate’s reliability in site hits and retakes. |
| Telekinesis range and line-of-sight rules | Not confirmed. | Defines whether remote retrieval is a niche convenience or a tactical resource. |
Use wording such as “reported,” “shown in the reveal” or “pending live-client testing” when discussing these values. No reliable win rate, pick rate, damage figure or matchup statistic has been established either.

Interactions and edge cases that change the outcome
Walls and other surfaces
Displacement’s possible concussion is tied to collision, so the same pull can have different results on opposite sides of a room. A wall, box or other solid surface near the detonation point may turn relocation into a stun-like opening. In open ground, the target may simply slide inward.

Players standing together
Team spacing affects the collision condition. Two players close together can create a collision risk that would not exist if they were separated. This makes tight holds vulnerable, especially when the team is already committed to a narrow entrance.
Steering windows
Flashbulb and Displacement both reportedly require Hush to guide the projectile before reactivation. That creates a readable interval in which she is less ready to win a gunfight. A defender who pushes during that interval may force a premature detonation or catch Hush without her primary weapon aligned.
Anchor visibility
Flow is only surprising if the destination is difficult to read. An anchor that is visible from the enemy’s default angle can become a warning marker. Denying the landing angle, changing the expected destination and forcing Hush to spend Flow defensively all reduce its entry value.
Follow-up timing
Pulls and lifts do not guarantee kills by themselves. Their payoff comes from what happens during the brief period after relocation, collision or lift. Teams should establish who is swinging, which target is being focused and what happens if the enemy escapes before using the utility.
How to counter Hush
- Move away from obvious Flow destinations. If an anchor is visible or commonly used, stop holding the endpoint as though Hush must appear from her original position.
- Break line of sight to guided projectiles. Turn away or get behind cover rather than staring at Hush while Flashbulb or Displacement is being steered.
- Keep sensible spacing. Avoid standing shoulder-to-shoulder and avoid hugging a wall when Displacement is available, unless the position is necessary for the round.
- Punish the steering window. A controlled swing while Hush guides utility can catch her before she returns to her weapon. Do this only when the path and enemy numbers make the timing safe.
- Reset after a pull. Do not automatically re-peek the angle Hush just manipulated. Reposition, deny the follow-up and trade the next fight on your terms.
- Force Displacement early when possible. If Hush must spend the pull to survive a first pressure, a later hard push faces less crowd control. The reported kill refresh makes this plan conditional until the rule is confirmed.
There is no official matchup chart or verified agent-counter ranking. Counterplay should therefore be based on spacing, sightline management, anchor denial and timing rather than a claim that one particular agent is Hush’s definitive answer.

How to fit Hush into a Duelist lineup
| Decision axis | Question to ask | Hush’s reported profile |
|---|---|---|
| Entry method | Does the agent move directly, or need setup? | Setup-dependent movement through an anchor, with the landing point determining the risk. |
| Utility control | Can the player alter timing or direction after throwing? | Flashbulb and Displacement reportedly support steering and reactivation. |
| Crowd control | Does utility only threaten one target? | Displacement can relocate several players, with collision concussion as a reported conditional effect; Suspension can lift an area. |
| Resource model | Can key utility return during the round? | Displacement’s two-kill refresh is reported but not confirmed. |
| Solo value | Can the agent convert utility without help? | Hush can create openings, but pulls and lifts become much stronger with immediate allied follow-up. |
| Counterplay clarity | Can opponents read the setup? | Anchors, projectile paths and detonation timing provide visible clues when Hush is forced to telegraph them. |
In practice, Hush suits a player who thinks one step ahead about destination and timing. The kit rewards rehearsed routes, coordinated swings and deliberate spacing more than repeated solo attempts to force every ability into a kill.
Rumors that should not be treated as abilities
Earlier speculation mentioned concepts such as Double Life, dual ultimates, ability copying and wall phasing. Those rumors are not part of the reported kit described here. Until Riot confirms them, they should not be used to explain Hush’s current abilities, balance or counterplay.
What to verify when Hush reaches the playable client
The first reliable testing should focus on repeatable mechanics rather than isolated clips:
- Measure Flow’s anchor distance, placement restrictions, travel delay and aerial behavior on several elevations.
- Record Flashbulb’s steering time, detonation controls and blind duration from different angles.
- Test Displacement against walls, boxes, map boundaries, teammates and enemies at different distances.
- Check whether the reported two-kill refresh occurs immediately, what counts as a kill and whether a refreshed charge preserves any cooldown state.
- Test Suspension’s area, lift duration, firing restriction and whether targets can leave the area before detonation.
- Map Telekinesis’s range, line of sight and interaction list using the Spike, dropped weapons and switches.
Until those tests are repeatable, the responsible description is that Hush’s kit is known in broad outline but not in final numerical detail.
Bottom line
Hush’s reported identity is a geometry-focused Duelist: Flow changes where she arrives, Flashbulb and Displacement let her steer utility before activation, Displacement can punish collisions, Suspension can remove opponents’ ability to fire for a short window, and Telekinesis extends her interaction range. The strongest counterplay is equally concrete—deny predictable anchors, break sightlines, maintain spacing, punish steering windows and refuse automatic re-peeks after a pull. Exact cooldowns and other numbers should remain labeled unconfirmed until Riot or live-client testing establishes them.
