Hush is a Duelist in VALORANT, launched on October 27, 2026 with Patch 13.09. She creates her own openings by guiding a flash, pulling opponents toward a center point, changing her position with an anchor, and levitating groups with her ultimate. Start with the Flashbulb-to-swing sequence, learn to reserve Flow for a second movement option, and treat Displacement as fight control rather than a damage button.
This guide separates Riot-confirmed mechanics from tactical recommendations. Riot has not published Hush pick-rate, win-rate, damage, cooldown, or other performance figures in the available material, so the advice below explains repeatable decisions instead of claiming a definitive tier ranking.

What role is Hush in VALORANT?
Hush is a Duelist, not an Initiator or Controller. Her kit is designed to help her create a favorable duel herself while still offering displacement and crowd-control value for teammates. That makes her closer to a space-making entry specialist than to a conventional information-first Initiator.
Riot describes Hush as a fighter from Guangdong province who uses telekinesis to close classified cases. Her identity comes from five linked ideas: Telekinesis, Displacement, Flashbulb, Flow, and Suspension. The abilities reward players who can line up a utility effect, change its path, and commit at the right moment rather than throwing everything at the start of a round.

What does each Hush ability do?
| Ability | Riot-confirmed function | Primary tactical job |
|---|---|---|
| Telekinesis | Increases interaction range with weapons, the Spike while attacking, and switches. | Collect important objects with less exposure. |
| Displacement | Pulls players toward its center, concusses on collision, and resets every two kills. | Break an anchored position or create a trade window. |
| Flashbulb | A steerable, reactivatable flash that affects players looking at it. | Make Hush’s own peek or a teammate’s swing possible. |
| Flow | Creates an anchor and propels Hush toward it after a delay; airborne activation briefly levitates her. | Change the angle and timing of an entry or escape. |
| Suspension | A steerable projectile that levitates all players caught in its area. | Open a coordinated site-take or retake window. |
The table describes the effects established in Riot’s Patch 13.09 notes. The recommendations in the rest of the guide are applications of those effects, not guarantees of a kill, site take, or round win.
How does Hush’s Telekinesis passive work?
Telekinesis gives Hush increased-range interaction with weapons, the Spike while she is attacking, and switches. Riot confirms the increased interaction range but does not publish a complete numeric range in the available notes.
Use the passive to reduce exposure
When a weapon is dropped just beyond a corner, use the longer interaction distance before stepping fully into the open. On attack, the same principle can let Hush take the Spike from a less exposed position. Switches can be activated from farther away as well, which matters on maps where a switch is watched from a common angle.
What the passive does not establish
Do not assume Telekinesis allows interaction through walls, ignores distance limits entirely, or makes every pickup safe. Riot’s wording confirms extra range, not wall penetration or a universal interaction radius. Treat the passive as an exposure-reduction tool and keep a teammate or escape route available when the object is contested.
How do I use Displacement?
Equip Displacement and throw it. You can use alternate fire to prepare the ability, then reactivate it to direct the projectile toward your crosshair. It explodes when it reaches a surface or after a delay, pulls all players toward its center, and concusses players who collide with a surface or another player. Riot says Displacement resets every two kills.
Pull a defender into a bad fight
The most reliable purpose is to move a player away from a comfortable anchor. A defender holding a tight angle can be pulled toward the center, forcing a new crosshair placement and potentially creating a collision that applies the concuss effect. If a teammate is ready to swing, the pull becomes a timing cue rather than an isolated piece of utility.

Displacement is strongest when the target has limited room to move. A player near a wall, another player, or a cramped piece of cover has a greater chance of colliding with something after the pull. Aim for the position that makes the resulting duel easier, not simply the largest visible group.
Turn the reset into pressure
The reset is tied to two kills, so it is a reason to convert favorable fights instead of taking low-probability solo swings after the first elimination. A successful entry can leave Displacement available for the next contact, but the reset does not make Hush automatically stronger than every other Duelist. Preserve enough health, cover, and teammate support to capitalize on the second use.
Common Displacement mistake
Throwing it at the first visible opponent can pull the target away from your team’s crossfire. Before activating, identify where the center will land and where the enemy will be moved. If no one can exploit the displacement, saving it for a choke, retake group, or post-plant denial attempt may create more value.
How do I use Flashbulb?
Flashbulb follows the same throw, prepare, steer, and detonate pattern. Throw it, use alternate fire to prepare it, guide it toward the crosshair, and reactivate it to pop. Riot says it flashes players who are looking at it.

Start with Flashbulb into a swing
- Choose the angle you intend to clear and the cover you will use for the peek.
- Throw Flashbulb and prepare it with alternate fire if you need a controlled path.
- Steer the flash around the edge of the angle rather than sending it directly down the opponent’s sightline.
- Detonate it as you begin the peek, then swing while the target is dealing with the flash.
This flash-and-swing pattern is the best first exercise because it connects the ability’s unique steering with the Duelist’s job: creating a fight on your timing. The exact path depends on the map geometry, so practice the route from cover instead of memorizing a single universal lineup.
Make the flash a timing tool
A flash that pops several seconds before the swing gives the opponent time to recover or reposition. Call the detonation timing when a teammate is ready to follow, or pop it immediately before your own peek so the utility and movement form one action. If the angle is already clear, keep Flashbulb for the next contact rather than spending it for visual noise.
Remember the look direction
Riot’s description specifies that Flashbulb affects players looking at it. Use walls, corners, and off-axis paths to make the opponent choose between looking away from the flash and exposing themselves to the swing. The ability is not a substitute for checking a second angle; it only helps against players who are caught looking at the detonation.
How does Hush’s Flow dash work?
Flow instantly creates an anchor and, after a delay, propels Hush toward it. If she is airborne when she activates Flow, Riot says she briefly levitates in place. The ability is therefore both a movement option and a way to alter when an enemy expects the duel to happen.

Place the anchor for the next decision
Do not automatically place the anchor at the safest location behind you. A forward anchor can produce an off-angle arrival, a gap-crossing route, or a second entry line. A rear anchor can preserve a retreat after you make noise. Decide which problem you are solving before you activate it.
Flow into an off-angle
- Place the anchor where an opponent is unlikely to hold a standard pre-aim.
- Use cover or another ability while the movement is pending.
- Arrive at the new angle and immediately reassess whether the fight is still favorable.
- If the target is waiting for the arrival, use Flashbulb before exposing yourself rather than repeating the same peek.
The value is the changed angle and timing, not movement for its own sake. A Flow arrival that lands in a predictable sightline can spend your mobility without creating an advantage.
Use airborne activation with a plan
Airborne activation briefly levitates Hush instead of simply completing a normal movement sequence. That can alter the timing of a jump peek or let you pause in a position an opponent has already pre-aimed. It also makes you a visible target, so combine it with cover, a flash, or teammate pressure rather than activating in open space.
When should I use Hush’s Suspension ultimate?
Suspension is instantly prepared, sent forward with fire, steered with the crosshair, and detonated by reactivation or another fire press. Riot says it levitates all players caught in the effect. Its best use is a coordinated timing window, not an automatic frag button.
Plan the team action before launching
Tell teammates what happens after the detonation: swing through a choke, clear a site pocket, start a retake, or take a post-plant fight. Launching Suspension without a follow-up can give the opposing team time to recover after the effect ends. The more grouped the intended targets are, the more likely the area-control purpose is relevant, but the ultimate still depends on placement and timing.
Use it on attack
For an execute, steer Suspension toward the defenders’ expected cluster and detonate when your entry players are ready. Hush can then use Flashbulb or Flow to exploit the changed positioning. Do not describe the levitation as guaranteed damage or guaranteed kills; the confirmed effect is temporary loss of normal ground positioning.

Use it on defense
Against a committed take, Suspension can interrupt the opponents’ normal movement and create a retake window. Save it for the moment when the attacking group has crossed into a space where teammates can challenge together. If the opponents are spread out, a single detonation may not affect enough players to justify the ultimate.
What are Hush’s best beginner combos?
Learn the sequences below in order. Each one has a clear purpose and a simple success condition, which makes it easier to identify whether the problem was aim, timing, positioning, or communication.
1. Flash-and-swing
- Throw Flashbulb toward the intended peek.
- Prepare and steer it around the angle.
- Detonate as you move from cover.
- Swing immediately and clear the blinded space before checking the next angle.
This is Hush’s simplest self-sufficient entry pattern. It does not require an enemy to stand in a particular spot, only that the flash path reaches the angle and the swing follows the detonation.
2. Pull-and-punish
- Place Displacement so its center will move the target toward your chosen fight.
- Prepare and reactivate it when the target is committed to the position.
- Have a teammate hold the destination or swing when the pull begins.
- Exploit the concuss-on-collision effect if the target meets a surface or another player.
If Hush earns two kills, Displacement resets. That can let a successful fight continue into another controlled pull, but only if the team keeps enough spacing to use the second activation.
3. Flow entry
- Place Flow’s anchor at an off-angle or on the far side of the gap you need to cross.
- Use the delay to make the opponent commit attention elsewhere.
- Arrive at the new position and check whether the expected target is still exposed.
- Use Flashbulb before the duel if the arrival itself did not create enough uncertainty.
This sequence is for changing the engagement’s timing. If the enemy has already read the anchor, cancel the idea mentally and play the safer angle rather than forcing the movement into a prepared crosshair.
4. Suspension execute
- Call the launch and the intended detonation timing.
- Send and steer Suspension toward the grouped site or retake players.
- Detonate when teammates are in position to exploit the levitation.
- Crash the opening with a swing, Flashbulb, or Flow arrival.
The ultimate’s value comes from synchronized action. A solo launch that no one can reach converts a powerful control effect into an isolated animation.

How should Hush play an attacking round?
On attack, Hush should create a first contact without spending every option immediately. Start by identifying where the defenders are likely to anchor, then choose the tool that changes that specific fight.
Opening contact
Use Flashbulb when the first swing needs visual cover. If the defender is fixed behind a narrow angle or near a teammate, Displacement may be more valuable because it changes the target’s location and can create a trade. Do not throw both automatically: preserve one for the next layer of the defense.
Mid-round adjustment
Keep Flow available when the first route becomes predictable. An anchor can change the timing of a second attempt, let Hush appear from an off-angle, or provide a retreat after pressure. If the team has already taken space, do not spend Flow merely to move a few steps; reserve it for a meaningful angle or gap.
Spike and weapon retrieval
Telekinesis can reduce exposure while Hush retrieves the Spike on attack or picks up a dropped weapon. Ask a teammate to cover the approach anyway, because increased interaction range does not establish immunity from enemy fire or wall interaction.

After the first kill
Look for the conditions that make the Displacement reset relevant. The reset is a reward for converting two kills, not a reason to chase an isolated enemy through unsafe territory. If the round has become a numbers advantage, use the next ability to protect the plant or deny the retake rather than hunt for a highlight play.
How should Hush play defense?
On defense, Hush is strongest when she changes the timing of the first contest instead of taking the same fight every round. Flow can alter where contact happens, while Flashbulb and Displacement can make the enemy’s first step awkward.
Contest with a planned exit
Place Flow so the movement either creates an unexpected angle or leaves a route back to safety. Once the enemy commits, use Flashbulb to contest or Displacement to pull a player into a teammate’s crossfire. A retreat option matters because none of these effects guarantees that the first duel is won.
Coordinate the pull
Displacement is most useful when another defender is ready to exploit the destination. Tell the teammate which target you are trying to move and when the activation will happen. Without that crossfire, the pull may simply relocate the opponent to a better position.
Hold Suspension for the decisive moment
If the attacking team groups for a take, Suspension can interrupt normal ground positioning and give defenders time to challenge together. If the attackers are still probing, keep the ultimate until the group is committed. Treat it as a retake or interruption tool, not a guaranteed defensive stop.
How should I manage Hush’s economy and resets?
The confirmed economy-related interaction is Displacement’s reset every two kills. No broader economy recommendation or numerical cooldown table is established in the available material.
Use that reset as a reason to value conversions, trades, and team follow-up. A low-percentage solo duel can throw away both the round and the possibility of another Displacement. Conversely, when Hush has already helped secure two kills, identify the next choke or grouped target before immediately spending the refreshed ability.
What mistakes do new Hush players make?
- Throwing every ability at first contact: A flash, pull, movement anchor, and ultimate all have different jobs. Keep at least one option for the next decision unless the round requires a full commitment.
- Using Displacement without a destination plan: The pull matters because of where the target ends up and who can shoot them there.
- Placing Flow only as an escape: A rear anchor is useful, but forward off-angles and gap crossings are how the Duelist creates new pressure.
- Detonating Flashbulb too early: The swing should begin as the flash pops, not after the opponent has already recovered.
- Launching Suspension without a call: Teammates need to know when to move so the levitation creates a real timing window.
- Assuming Telekinesis is a wall interaction: Riot confirms extra range, not wall penetration or a fully specified radius.
- Chasing a reset: Two kills refresh Displacement, but the reset is a benefit of good fights, not a mandate to force another duel.
How can I practice Hush efficiently?
Use a short practice loop that isolates one decision at a time instead of trying to memorize every lineup.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute- Flash control: Practice throwing, preparing, steering, and detonating Flashbulb from cover. Repeat until the detonation and peek feel like one motion.
- Anchor planning: Place Flow at a forward off-angle, then at a retreat route. For each location, say aloud what problem the anchor solves.
- Displacement geometry: Place the center near a wall, near another player, and in open space. Observe how the intended destination changes your follow-up, while remembering that the official material does not provide a damage value.
- Ultimate communication: Call a target area and a detonation timing before using Suspension. The exercise is successful only when a teammate can act during the window.
- Object retrieval: Use Telekinesis to collect a weapon or interact with an objective from the edge of cover, then check whether you would still be protected if an opponent were watching.
How does Hush compare with other Duelists?
Use seven questions when deciding whether Hush fits your team: Can she create a self-sufficient entry? How safely can she change position? How much control does her flash provide? Does her displacement create crowd-control value? How difficult are her abilities to steer? How much does she depend on teammate follow-up? Can a kill produce additional utility?
Hush stands out for combining a guided flash, a pull that can concuss on collision, an anchor-based movement tool, and a levitation ultimate. That combination also increases execution demands: the player must manage projectile direction, activation timing, crosshair placement, and communication. No current match-data source in the available material supports a definitive tier ranking, pick-rate claim, or win-rate claim.

What is confirmed about Hush in Patch 13.09?
Patch 13.09, released October 27, 2026, documents all five parts of Hush’s kit and identifies her as a Duelist. The confirmed mechanics are the increased-range Telekinesis interactions; Displacement’s pull, collision concuss, and two-kill reset; Flashbulb’s guidable reactivation; Flow’s anchor propulsion and airborne levitation; and Suspension’s steerable levitation effect.
The patch material does not establish numeric interaction range, damage, cooldowns, pick rate, win rate, or a guaranteed result for any combo. Keep those limits in mind when adapting the tactics to a specific map, rank, or team composition.

Frequently asked questions
Can Hush use Telekinesis through walls?
The confirmed description says Telekinesis increases interaction range, but it does not say that Hush can interact through walls or specify a complete radius. Plan pickups and switch activations as range extensions, not as guaranteed wall interactions.
Does Displacement deal damage?
The documented effects are the pull and the concuss that can occur when players collide with a surface or another player. No damage amount is provided, so use Displacement to shape a fight and create vulnerability rather than as a direct damage source.
Can Suspension affect teammates?
Riot’s wording says Suspension levitates all players caught in its area and does not explain team filtering in the available notes. Place it with the assumption that careless positioning could disrupt your own timing, and coordinate the detonation before teammates enter the affected space.
Is Hush difficult for a new Duelist player?
Her basic flash-and-swing pattern is approachable, but steering projectiles and timing Flow add more decisions than a simple point-and-click kit. Start with one repeatable sequence, then add Displacement and Suspension after your movement and communication are consistent.
Where can I find Hush’s official role and abilities?
Riot’s official Hush announcement and the VALORANT Patch 13.09 notes are the authoritative references for her role and launch mechanics. Use those pages for later wording or balance changes, because ability values and behavior can change after release.
