Hytale added Brazilian Portuguese as an official in-game language option in Update 3, posted February 17, 2026. Check the language settings in your current game build first; a separate fan translation may not be necessary. If you want to use a community pack instead, follow that project’s instructions and confirm it supports your game version before copying files.
Enable the official Brazilian Portuguese option first
Open Hytale and look in the game’s language settings for Brazilian Portuguese, which may appear as “Português (Brasil).” Hytale’s Update 3 patch notes say the language was added as one of the first new in-game language options, beginning the game’s localization efforts. The notes do not specify the current menu path or exact label in every build, so the settings menu in your installed version is the best place to check.

Official in-game localization and community translation packs are separate. Do not install a fan pack just because an older guide describes manual file replacement. The official notes establish that Brazilian Portuguese was added, but they do not establish that every screen is translated or that the launcher itself is available in Portuguese.
Install the xSpring community pack manually
If you specifically want the xSpring pack hosted on CurseForge, its project page provides these manual steps. They are the publisher’s instructions, not independently tested directions; check the project page and supported game version before proceeding.

- Open the Hytale launcher.
- Click the gear icon and choose “Open Directory.”
- Open the downloaded archive and copy its
installfolder into the Hytale root directory. - If prompted, choose “Replace all.”
- Launch Hytale. If it starts in English, open Settings and select “Português (Brasil).”
The xSpring CurseForge project page lists a January 27, 2026 update with version string 2026.01.28-87d03be09. That dated listing is not proof of compatibility with a later game build. Check the current project page before installing.
If you downloaded it with the CurseForge app
The xSpring page warns that after installation you should delete the zip from the mods folder if you downloaded it through the CurseForge application. The project says leaving the archive there may prevent a world from loading.

Another option: the pokeybr translation
The pokeybr project page describes a similar manual installation process and lists Windows and macOS availability. It labels the translation a work in progress, so some text or expressions may remain untranslated or need improvement. Check its current instructions and version support rather than assuming its files match the xSpring pack or your installed game.

- Game-version support: Make sure the project targets your current Hytale build. The pack listings cited here were updated in January 2026, and compatibility may have changed since then.
- Scope and completeness: A community project may leave some content untranslated. The pokeybr page explicitly describes its translation as a work in progress.
- Platform: pokeybr lists Windows and macOS. Do not assume another pack has the same platform coverage.
- File handling: Follow the selected project’s instructions, including the xSpring warning about removing the zip from the mods folder when applicable.
Hytale’s Update 6 notes describe an in-game mod browser that can show supported game versions and provide controls to install, update, and remove mods. The official Update 6 notes do not confirm that either Brazilian Portuguese project is currently listed there. Check the browser in your own build if you prefer it, but do not assume it offers these packs.
