Ash’s Frogadier evolves into Greninja in “A Festival of Decisions!” in Pokémon the Series: XYZ. If by “get Greninja” you mean when Ash first catches the Pokémon, he catches it earlier as Froakie. Episode numbering can vary between catalogs, so search by the episode title.
When does Ash’s Frogadier evolve into Greninja?
The evolution happens in “A Festival of Decisions!”, during the Kalos storyline in Pokémon the Series: XYZ. TV Guide’s listing identifies it as a season 19 episode, but season and episode numbering are not consistent across international listings. The title is the most reliable way to find it in a catalog.

Did Ash catch Greninja in that episode?
No. Ash first catches the Pokémon as Froakie earlier in the XY series. It later evolves into Frogadier and then into Greninja. The evolution episode is therefore the answer if “get Greninja” means when the Pokémon becomes Greninja—not when Ash first catches it.

Ash-Greninja refers to the special form or bond presentation associated with Ash’s Greninja. It is not the name of the episode in which Ash catches Froakie or Frogadier evolves. The evolution episode remains “A Festival of Decisions!”.

Yes. Ash and Greninja appear together again in “Catching the Aura of Fate!”, a later episode in which Ash and Goh find Greninja in Kalos. Apple TV lists that episode as Series 25, Episode 18 in one catalog view and gives a 2022 release date; it is not the original evolution episode.
