Here are all 25 safe, chest, lockbox, and combination-door codes in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. The base game has 22 combinations across Vatican City, Gizeh, the Himalayas, and Sukhothai. The Order of Giants DLC adds three more safes in Rome. Enter the leading zeroes exactly as shown: 0609, 0805, 0926, and the other four-digit codes are not shortened versions of three-digit numbers.

Before you start
If you are looking for the game itself, the Indiana Jones and the Great Circle PS5 is one available way to play. The guide also applies to the Xbox Series X|S and PC versions, as well as the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 releases. You do not need to buy another copy if you already own the game, and The Order of Giants is separate DLC rather than a replacement for the base game.

Important: two locks use five digits rather than four: Voss’ Headquarters is 40926, and A Timely Arrival is 59404. That is intentional.
Vatican City safe and chest codes
Belvedere Courtyard chest — 5238
The chest is inside a military tent in the Belvedere Courtyard. The clue is a ticket stub found in a nearby drawer. Opening it rewards you with a Skill Book and cash.

Secret of Secrets safe — 4471
This safe is in the Sistine Chapel office and is part of the Secret of Secrets mystery. The puzzle uses the statues and a note to derive the combination. The safe contains a Forged Book and a Skill Book.
Post Office cellar chest — 1136
Find this chest in the Post Office cellar. You first need the Cellar Key, which you obtain during A Savage Discovery. The nearby clue points to November 1936, producing 1136. The reward is an Adventure Book.

A Date to Remember chest — 6380
Look in the military tent in the Museum Wing courtyard. The combination opens the chest containing Vatican Medicine.
Museum side-room / Garden Storage safe — 7171
Some guides label this the Museum side-room safe, while others call it the Garden Storage chest. These labels refer to the same Vatican combination rather than two separate entries. Reach the restricted side area through the relevant Fieldwork route, then use the clue in the storage area; depending on the location label used by your guide, the instruction may be described as turning off the lamp or inspecting the storage-room clue. The code is 7171. The listed reward is a Lost Artifact or related loot, depending on the location description used.
Borgia Tower safe — 5873
Go past the door opened with Giuliana’s Key to reach the Borgia Tower safe. The combination comes from decoding an Italian poem with the Polybius Square. Inside are four Mystery Notes.
Signs of Trouble safe — 1891
This safe is at the Excavation Site and is tied to Gina’s Request. Once the Signs of Trouble mystery begins, the combination is 1891. The reward is a Mystery Note and cash.

Cloud Atlas chest — 0609
Search the weather-station area, including the small corrugated buildings. The puzzle asks you to match information on the Cloud Atlas with the Cloud Status Logbook. Enter 0609 to receive Gizeh Medicine and cash.

Egyptian Numeral Code chest — 3262
This chest is in a military building south of the Workers’ Area. The nearby Egyptian numeral note provides the information needed to translate the code. The reward is an Ancient Relic and cash.
Vehicle Depot / Garage chest — 0805
Look in the truck bed or garage area at the Vehicle Depot. The nearby Code Letter contains the clue. Use 0805 for the Harvest Stele.
Bright Future chest — 0926
The chest is near two palm trees and a truck. The mystery begins after you find the Nazi Note and Pohl’s Letter. The combination is 0926, and the chest contains active dynamite.
Voss’ Headquarters basement safe — 40926
Go to the basement of Voss’ Headquarters and inspect the desk for the Code Note. This is one of the game’s unusual five-digit combinations: 40926. The safe contains an Ancient Relic, cash, and a pistol.
Himalayas combination door
KMS Kummetz Officer’s Quarters — 3666
The Himalayas has one important numeric lock rather than a conventional loot safe. At the KMS Kummetz, enter 3666 at the combination door in the Officer’s Quarters. Opening it provides story progression and access, so it is included here even though it does not work like the optional chests and safes in the other regions.
Sukhothai safe, chest, and lockbox codes
Voss’ Gold Stash — 5484
This safe is in Voss’ Camp. Obtain the Code Instructions from a guard, then enter 5484 to collect the cash inside.
A Game of Wits — 3186
The safe is also in Voss’ Camp and is connected to the Mak-Yek challenge. You can solve the board puzzle legitimately or use the combination directly: 3186. The reward is cash.

A Timely Arrival shipment chest — 59404
Find this chest at Wat Chana Songkhram. Use the Shipment Paper together with the Code Lookup Table to work out the answer. The game expects a five-digit entry: 59404. Inside are Sukhothai Medicine and cash.
Counting Letters safe — 4134
This safe is at Wat Mahathat. The associated mystery uses a code-wheel cipher; after working through it, enter 4134. The reward is an Adventure Book and cash.
Path of Tigers lockbox — 2480
At Jongdang’s Hut, follow the Painted Message and Rebels Photograph to solve the Path of Tigers mystery. The lockbox combination is 2480, rewarding a Mystery Note and a Skill Book.

The Order of Giants is a separate Rome-area expansion. The base game is required, although Bethesda also makes the DLC available as a standalone purchase for players who already own the base game. These three safes are in the DLC, not in the base-game Vatican list.
Dock building dynamite safe — 1234
At the river dock, enter the small building on the south side. DiMaggio’s Note supplies the combination: 1234. The safe contains dynamite.
Ricci’s Basement safe — 4768
Go to the bedroom in Ricci’s basement. The note titled Code to Safe is behind a bust. Use 4768 to obtain Ricci’s Basement Key and Nero’s Letter.
Cloaca Maxima safe — 5742
This safe is in a south-central sewer tunnel. Look behind the bottles for the box with the written code clue. Enter 5742 to receive a Lost Artifact and a pistol.

How the combination puzzles work
Most of the codes are deliberately tied to documents or environmental details rather than being random numbers. If you want to solve them without using the answer list, search the immediate area for:
- notes, letters, logbooks, and ticket stubs;
- code wheels and lookup tables;
- statues and written clues that must be matched or ordered;
- poems requiring the Polybius Square;
- shipment paperwork and other documents that combine two sources of information; and
- photographs or environmental objects connected to the active mystery.
For a spoiler-light approach, first use the region and location headings to find the correct lock. Then stop before reading the paragraph beneath it if you want to work out the clue yourself. The bold code is the direct answer; the surrounding text explains the access requirement and reward.
Troubleshooting a code that does not work
- Confirm the location. Vatican’s 7171 entry is sometimes given two different names, and several regions contain multiple military camps or buildings.
- Check the number of digits. Do not drop the leading zero from 0609, 0805, or 0926. Do not try to force the five-digit codes 40926 and 59404 into a four-digit lock.
- Make sure the mystery or access step is active. The Post Office chest requires the Cellar Key from A Savage Discovery; the Signs of Trouble safe begins with Gina’s Request; and several other locks require a note, key, or side activity before the location is accessible.
- Check that you are entering the code into the intended object. The Himalayas code 3666 opens a story-related door, while the other entries are safes, chests, or a lockbox.
- Verify the edition and DLC. The three Rome safes—1234, 4768, and 5742—belong to The Order of Giants, not the base game’s Vatican or other regional content.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why are some Indiana Jones and the Great Circle codes five digits?
The two five-digit combinations are intentional. Enter 40926 at the Voss’ Headquarters basement safe in Gizeh and 59404 at the A Timely Arrival shipment chest in Sukhothai.
Can I open every chest as soon as I find it?
No. The Post Office cellar chest requires the Cellar Key obtained during A Savage Discovery. Several other locks also require a note, key, or mystery step before you can reach or properly use them.
What are the The Order of Giants DLC safe codes?
The three DLC codes are Dock building 1234, Ricci’s Basement 4768, and Cloaca Maxima 5742. They are part of The Order of Giants, not the base game.
